STOP wasting time on circus gimmicks for “balance” training.
Bosu balls, wobble boards, and band tricks look cool on Instagram but do almost nothing for real game-contact stability
In sport, forces come from opponents while your feet interact with a stable ground

Here’s what actually builds usable stability, coordination, and reactive power instead👇
@coachk6463 Irony of what exactly? The post is implying to quit recording athletes/clients daily and putting it out on social media as an influencer or content creator. Our crew couldn’t care less about likes and shares.
If you coach a spring sport and the last time they saw the S&C was December, you can’t blame the S&C for your team being “weak” or not “explosive”.
It’s 2026, all athletes MUST train year-round.
Especially if you have a qualified S&C!
You might have been able to launch a less embarrassing argument 20 years ago that middle/high school volleyball players need “sport-specific” training.
At that point in history there WAS an actual offseason for many.
In today’s climate of year round play - surely it’s parody to assert they need stupid stuff like setting or building a passing platform against a band in place of building strength in basic movement patterns they’re wildly deficient in.
You don’t think the 9000 reps of sport skills a week are sufficient?
A surprising number of Jackrabbits are former QBs, including edge rusher Carter Sitzman, who transferred from Wayne State. Sitzman talks how that helps him on defense as he looks to make the jump from the NSIC in this episode of ‘Jacks Chats’.

HS sports:
Lifting with your team 2x/wk in the off-season doesn’t always guarantee you will win a title. It just increases your likelihood of success.
But not training with your team 2x/wk in the off-season almost always guarantee that you will not win a title. It wildly decreases your chances of success.
No, it’s not the two, 25-30 minute weight room sessions a week where athletes encounter force in a controlled environment hurting your volleyball player’s back.
It’s the:
-10+ hours a week of practice with bad mechanics on bad surfaces
-Random running
-No days off mentality
-Lack of nutrition and sleep to facilitate recovery
But go on and get that 2 weeks no weight room full go on court note as the injury carousel takes another turn.
