@TribelessYouth I had an opportunity to have a conversation with real goons and one thing I can say is, it's a personal choice and lack of job opportunities .
@TribelessYouth I think different people view goonism in different angles, some see it as a source of fame like Gaucho which at the end of it,gives one employment,at the other hand politicians use it to settle scores a against their opponents.

A tragic incident occurred today at Harambee Khalsa School in Nakuru, where a school guard was found murdered. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this distressing incident. 💔
Story by Tom Lutali, Citizen Journalist.
The family of Boniface Kundu is appealing to members of the public to help trace their missing kin, 13-year-old Simon Savior Wanjala Munyasia, who disappeared from their home in Lugari Station, Kakamega.
According to the boy's grandmother, Naomi Nekesa, Wanjala left their home at around 9:00 am on 2nd January 2026 and has not been seen since. She added that he told his friends he was going to see his father who lives in Eldoret. On being contacted later, the father claimed that his son never arrived.
At the time of his disappearance, Wanjala was wearing a pink sweater, grey t-shirt, black ragged trousers, and a pair of crocs.
The family stated Wanjala had been staying with an aunt since the closing of schools in October last year, and had only just returned home on 1st January 2026 to prepare for the new school term, before he disappeared the following day.
His grandmother noted that there were no family disagreements or issues to explain his disappearance. "We have been searching everywhere without success. We are appealing to members of the public to help us trace him,” she said.
The family is urging anyone with any information regarding his whereabouts to report to the nearest police station or contact them through the following numbers:
- 0729 771 843
- 0708 101 928
- 0701 403 708

In a bizarre incident last night, a security guard at Harambee Khalsa Primary School in Nakuru East Constituency was murdered and beheaded by unknown assailants. The school's authorities say nothing appeared to have been stolen, raising questions about the motive behind the gruesome killing. The security guard's head was found in a sack while his body was discovered on top of a locker by a student when she entered the class in the morning. DCI officers were called to the scene and are conducting the investigation. The victim's family are calling for justice to be done. #SemaUkweli
Lake Naivasha floods impact on residents of Kihoto is significant. While some support has been provided, there's still so much more to be done. Many still need help to relocate, while others have lost property. Let's offer more assistance to those in need.

Story by Joanne Musau, Citizen Journalist.
When President Donald Trump issued an order at the beginning of the year to halt U.S. foreign assistance programs for 90 days pending a review, Kenya's donor-dependent health sector was heavily impacted.
Shortages of life-saving drugs and commodities for HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis (TB), and malaria programs were felt across the country, putting the lives of millions of Kenyans at risk.
More than 40,000 health workers who had been supported by the U.S. President's Emergency Fund For Aids Relief found themselves out of work, and although some of them later resumed their duties, the delivery of essential life-saving services was severely disrupted.
The stories of those who had to bear the cost of disruption and, dare we say, the sheer ineptitude of their own government, are quite harrowing. The health of Kenyans should never be dependent on donors. #SemaUkweli

We are delighted to launch our research findings on Artificial Intelligence, Electoral Behavior, and Ethnic Polarization in Kenya: Navigating the Digital Frontier Toward the 2027 General Elections.
As Kenya moves closer to the 2027 general elections, the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into the political arena brings unique challenges.
There's a potential for these technologies to be misused in ways that could harm democratic integrity, such as spreading hate speech and ethnic slurs or causing setbacks in democratic progress. #KenSafeSpace @KICTANet@WatotoWatchNet
