5/ Through art, they told real stories: flooded homes, blocked drainage, polluted rivers — but also resilience, resistance, and community solutions.
Over 250 community members, youth, women, children & local leaders came together to listen, reflect & dialogue on climate justice

3/ Before the festival, artists from Mathare were trained on climate justice, rights, accountability, and how art can drive advocacy and social change.
On festival day, 60 artists from 10 creative groups performed music, drama, dance, spoken word, rap & puppetry in a public space

2/ Informal settlements face the harshest climate impacts: flooding, heat stress, poor waste management, food & water insecurity, and health risks. This is climate injustice. #ClimateMashinani #ClimateJustice
