@emkenobi Robert Pattinson wouldn't have given Nolan that book if he wasn't in Tenet.
Pattinson wouldn't have been cast in Tenet if he wasn't already successful.
Pattinson might not have been successful without Twilight.
Twilight wouldn't exist without MCR.
MCR wouldn't exist without 9/11.
Roger Ebert once wrote that most of the best kids’ fantasy films are just a little bit creepy. That is, there is something present in the worlds they depict that discourages the young protagonists from getting too complacent. This approach feels less condescending and more dramatically urgent for both young viewers and adults.
🤬 CNN removed this report from their social media.
They released this statement (translated)....
"We confirm that it is true, a piece of content was removed from CNN Indonesia’s social media channels.
The content was vulnerable to misuse and had the potential to trigger framing and discredit certain parties.
This decision was made without pressure and fully reflects the editorial stance.
We will continue to report on the efforts to deliver aid to disaster victims in Sumatra."
appa randomly showing up in the serpent’s pass when he’s supposed to be kidnapped by sand benders only means one thing 😭 unfortunately another iconic scene has been erased.
@softdrinktv@theglusman5 So you're saying that the democratization of attention is a bad thing? not saying I don't agree with you, but it's interesting that autonomy of choice is what got us here
The reason we see so many remakes rather than new, original TV shows is because of streaming. Back in the day you would channel surf, you would stumble upon an episode halfway through, and you would judge it based on what you were watching. You could get hooked on something you’d never normally click on.
Today, you have to find something you want to click on, judge it by its cover, and then play it from the beginning. This draws people more towards familiarity.
Scrolling through TikTok is similar to channel surfing, you don’t have to choose what you watch. That’s why it’s so successful. It just starts playing, and you see new stuff you’d never normally think about. I think streaming services should all add their own version of live TV channel surfing that comes on by default when you open the app.
When you have too many choices, most revert to what’s comforting, and it hurts new, original content. It’s all about the discovery process.
First trailer for "Tales from Outer Suburbia" series by Flying Bark studio (Australia), based on the picture books by Shaun Tan.
There aren't that many big Australian animated projects.
@MarioLore24 @WahyuCodes@seoraehaejun also, the camera felt like it was static in front of the tablet, while the tablet changed hands. and the characters didn't move. It was the tablet that moved. I wonder how he did it.
