Just so everyone knows, this was a BS response and they haven’t responded to anything via DM or otherwise. Called them over 40 times. They stole my 65k miles and I won’t be saying goodbye to my uncle

Well that’s a wrap. My flight is boarding and even though they redeemed my miles and confirmed my reservation, @AmericanAir never issued me a ticket and I was unable to board the flight. I will not be making it to say goodbye to my uncle. Happy Holidays From #AATeam I guess?!

Nothing like replying to me 15 minutes AFTER my original departure time @AmericanAir - I used my miles and my reservation is in the system. But the Advantage desk needs to actually issue the ticket... and my flight is officially not going to happen.

The best part is they had no problem deducting the miles from my account - it’s just the issuing the ticket so I can see my uncle before he dies that they can’t make happen. @AmericanAir is officially the worst airline on the planet.

Dear @AmericanAir - I legitimately fucking hate you. I booked a flight with my miles to see my dying Uncle before he passes and your system still hasn’t issued the ticket. Flight leaves in less than 2 hours, desk agent can’t help and phone system won’t connect me to Advantage.
