Haiti’s Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé also urges the Trump administration not to force Haitians to return to his impoverished nation—“the humanitarian outcome should be that those people are not forced to come back to Haiti until we resolve the security issue. Of course, they are Haitians, we will take back all of those citizens.”
May is #HaitianHeritageMonth, and in Miami-Dade, we are celebrating it with full hearts yet again. 🇭🇹 The culture, history, and contributions of our Haitian community are woven into the very fabric of who we are.
Haitian TPS holders are not abstract policy debates.
They're our neighbors, restauranteurs, and community members who are like family.
We must extend TPS for Haiti and protect the workers who make our communities feel like home.
