Collaborative work of @slavicaPD, @Hashemyaser4, Jovanovic Lab and @DjuranovicLab - a new method to isolate ribosomes and translational material in minutes. We show multiple usage of our RAPPL method in biochemical and structural assays with ribosomes. Please be free to contact us for further instructions if needed. @IsraelF96135088 you'll like this one.
A rapid, facile, and economical method for the isolation of ribosomes and translational machinery for structural and functional studies https://t.co/qqJA6y2ysU
Our timely contribution to the growing body of YebC2/TACO1 literature 🤩! YebC2 is a third factor that prevents ribosome stalling at prolines. Associates with 70S and important for fitness in absence of EF-P and YfmR.

This is really a stunning paper.
Cyanobacteria exposed to shorter days (in the lab) "rewire" their membrane lipids to anticipate cold weather.
When those cells are plunged into cold water, they have "two or three-times higher survival" than cells exposed to longer days.
Our collaboration with @WilsonLab2 and @vpelech is out in @NAR_Open! The ABCF ATPase New1 resolves translation termination defects associated with specific tRNAArg and tRNALys isoacceptors in the P site

Congrats to @biozentrum@snsf_ch Ambizione Group Leader @FlorentWaltz on this stunning study🤩 of respirasome structure & organization inside native cells! It's amazing how quickly in situ #cryoET is advancing. Read Florent's thread🧵 for the high-resolution details🔎🦠 #TeamTomo
Principal Investigator @gagnon_lab and researchers at @utmbhealth use cryogenic-electron microscopy to elucidate the mechanism of GDP dissociation from RF3 catalyzed by the Escherichia coli 70S-TC. https://t.co/8dt9ZZUNAG
Tour-de-force by @Jonatha31791089 enabling visualization of protein folding within cells by cryo-ET. Great collaboration with @MPI_Biochem colleagues, just out @Nature https://t.co/F71AqWusN5
Here, Koch lab reports on bacterial ribosome hibernation. They show that the membrane-tethering hibernation factors YqjD/ElaB/YgaM, discovered by Wada in E. coli, are widely conserved in proteobacteria and likely target the ribosomal peptide tunnel👍

Very happy to announce that our paper “Global regulation via modulation of ribosome pausing by the ABC-F protein EttA” has been published https://t.co/4YQZQc4eaW. Congratulation to all the lab members and especially the first authors @ousalemF@CNRS@IBPCF@univ_paris_cite@EGM
We designed a motif that makes the expression of YFP strongly EttA-dependent. This motif demonstrates that EttA's activity is only evident when the motif is present within the first 30 amino acids of the encoded sequence.
Out now in @PNASNews we used Tn-seq to identify genetic interactions with EF-P in B. subtilis. We found that 1) the ABCF YfmR (Uup) is required in absence of EF-P in some conditions
