Weather and conditions permitting, Emmett Ranger District fuel managers are planning district wide pile burning from Nov. 8 – Dec. 30, 2021, to remove slash fuel loading from logging operations and debris piles at administrative sites. Smoke impacts should be short-term .
Weather, and conditions permitting, the Mountain Home Ranger District fuel managers have extended their timeframe to ignite a number of piles near the Bogus Basin Recreation Area from Nov. 5 to Nov.15.

As conditions allow Idaho City fuel managers are preparing to begin their fall hand pile burning. Ignitions may begin as soon as Nov. 2 and will continue until around the first of December. The hand piles will be in the Buckskin Project area near the town site of Pioneerville.
