@johngoeser @Field_Updates Do you have summarized the corresponding WPCS%DM data? My obs are that if tarspot hastened dry down faster than harvest rate, e.g. ~50%DM, there was inadequate moisture left in the fodder to moisten kernel fragments and facilitate rumen starchD enhancement in silo.
@axialoperator Barn jack. We used them to level barns and houses. Long steel rod inserted in holes on top provided great leverage for modest foundation/beam adjustments.
So true! Fiber & starch digestibility experienced by the cow has little to do w/hybrid including “special traits”, exception is BMR fiber. Management & growing environment (down to the micro level) are the actual determining factors of differences that may be observed.
Couldn’t find a 4 tine pitchfork anywhere locally, so ordered one online. Nice inconspicuous packaging! BTW what’s up with no 4 tines in farm stores? 5 tines are too close together; hay/straw gets stuck. 3 tines is too small in general. 4 is perfect balance. Am I right?
@FarmNv Please DM details of the data you believe is inaccurate. I will look into any discrepancies. Data integrity & accuracy is a high priority. Any errors need corrected. As for the screenshot, it represents a very large # of comps (likely 100s), far more than what may be on website
Happy day! First night in new barn for these cows and out of the seemingly perpetual mud of 2019. Taking in the sight because it will never be this shiny clean again.
@thebirdfarmer I really wanted to be there but distance kept me home. My Purdue Creamery collection is pretty slim and John’s collection was excellent and complete. Did you take any of it home?
