The FIT Count season is over for another year - many thanks to all who have participated, with the 2nd highest ever total of counts sent in, from the highest number of participants to date 👏👏 Results will provide information on pollinator populations during the year.
A few images from my recent @PoMScheme 1km square survey 👍
PoMS FIT Counts can still be completed until the end of September - if the weather conditions allow🤞

We need YOUR eyes 👀
Wild-born wildcat kittens are becoming independent from their mums, exploring on their own. We can't fit them with tracking collars as they're still growing so we need help. If you think you've seen a young wildcat, please email us at [email protected] 🐾
ELMs is starting to work, delivering real nature improvements on the ground that we can see and measure. 🌱 It's encouraging, but we need @SteveReedMP@DanielZeichner@RachelReevesMP

Knapweed is a real favourite with pollinators at this time of year. Best known as a meadow wildflower, it flowers throughout July and August. Often a good place to spot male bumblebees.
Today it is cooler and breezy but the sun is out - great weather
for monitoring pollinators @PoMScheme
I am delighted that I have already seen bumblebees, hoverflies and butterflies 🐝🦋😊
