@drunklibshill He's a boring centrist technocrat who's smart enough not to axe social programs (Starmer take note) and who's positioning vs the US and economic policies broadly make sense. His main opponent is also a lame-duck who doesn't realise it yet.
Don't skip leg day!
2 CMBG stepped up on the roads and the trails to participate in Ex RUCKING BEAR. This exercise was a test of fitness, endurance, and camaraderie.
What that means is we want to move away from the idea that "Our allies have this capability, We have that capability". The CAF no longer wants to be reliant on allies to provide specific, niche capabilities. We want to have at least some nominal capacity to act independently.
@JefferyPetts I like that this idea has theoretical support on both sides of the aisle. Definitely worth exploring for our most gruesome criminals (and JJ McCullough)
@CoopTory Still better than "taxes are the only form of economic policy that matters, govt should have no other say in the economy" Pierre Poilievre imo.

Completely agree.
Letโs be done with the Francophone-Anglophone animosity.
Leave your Protestant Orange marches back home.
Letโs revisit Canadaโs constitutional protection for Catholic schools.
Or are we talking about immigrants from only some parts of the world?
If only Iโd kept a penny for every time some โold stockโ Canadian said this to meโฆ
PM Carney tells immigrants to leave behind the feuds of their homelands:
"We don't welcome the world's hatreds"
"When you come to Canada you bring your faith, your tradition, your language, your story - you leave behind your animosities"
We cannot increase our reliance on US technology while the President is tearing up the rules-based order and threatening our allies.
Ministers must wake up to reality, cancel their misguided F-35A order, and buy British jets instead.
PM Carney on the economy: "The data's going to be uneven and we see some weakness in part because of clear decisions by the government ... But we're also seeing at the same time the foundations coming into place, settling in for that stronger, more resilient economy."
