@TheWidthofaPost I do think some players definitely need to go out on loan, etc. though. It won’t help morale to have those never likely to get game time (Odour, Wilson, Smith) moping around training.

Also I wouldn’t be surprised if Tyreik Wright and Tommy Leigh maybe move in January.

@TheWidthofaPost Last season we recruited ‘promotion winning experience’ players. This summers recruitment has been stressing ‘league one experience’
I can see upgrades in various positions and very good L2 players have been replaced/upgraded (Smallwood) or are now obviously 2nd choice (Halliday)

@TheWidthofaPost I would hope if we start season well we tie him down to another couple of years. There is always the chance he will have other teams interested if we delay too long and it helps with recruitment to have stability too,

@TheWidthofaPost Staying up will will be main priority but I see no reason why we shouldn’t be aiming for upper mid table minimum. Winning is a habit and lots of squad played at this level before. We should fear no one.

@TheWidthofaPost I am sad to see Smallwood go as he’s shown what kind of player he is ever since Hughes went but if manager sees Power as 1st choice it shows no one is irreplaceable.

Obviously GA has shown even his most trusted players need to be ready for the pace and demands of L1

@TheWidthofaPost Smallwood has been consistently good this season. He has been that was since Alexander took over tbh though. Yes we have flashier players but the grit and aggression Smallwood shows will see us right.

@TheWidthofaPost Our overall quality should still see us ok, but it’s concerning that our goals have dried up. I rate Mellon, but not seen enough from Leigh yet to think he will either get us goals or be a threat. As I’m sure everyone is saying, we need Pattison, Sarcevic and Pointon back ASAP
