🚨🦉 Important Announcement🦉🚨
A new friend of Sheffield Wednesday and the Supporters Trust, who prefers to remain anonymous, has been incredibly impressed by the outpouring of support for the effort to raise money for this important cause and has made an incredibly generous pledge to match every gift, up to £35,000 raised by supporters towards this effort.
We’re currently on £27,910, meaning we need to raise the final £7,090 to unlock the full £35,000 contribution.
If we do, a £35,000 supporter-led campaign becomes a £70,000 investment in Sheffield Wednesday supporters and young people across our community.
That means more season tickets, more match tickets, more mascot experiences, more shirts, and the chance to reach even more children who dream of being part of Sheffield Wednesday but may never otherwise get the opportunity. It means creating memories with parents, grandparents and friends that will last a lifetime, helping young people feel connected to their club, their city and their community. The donor has recognised just how important family and community are in Sheffield, and wants to help open the door for the next generation of Wednesdayites.
The donor recognised something we’ve all seen: when Wednesdayites are given the chance to help one another, they step forward. In discussing the donation, they impressed upon us a simple message:
“We’re All Wednesday Aren’t We?”
That spirit is exactly what Sheffield Wednesday is about.
This fanbase has already achieved something remarkable.
Now we have the opportunity to turn £35,000 into £70,000.

@peachtard When my sister and I cleared our parents house we both said the same. I’m Gen X and don’t what to leave it to my kids to clear through things they don’t want. Our mum had kept broken vases she never got round to glueing back together. She’d kept so much junk.
@thvheals I’ve seen another woman where the same thing happened. Check on TT because he might be posting there too. If I remember right he wouldn’t delete because it’s making him money.
Why aren't you summoning Israel's Ambassador and demanding immediate release of the captives with an apology? That's what France, Italy and the Netherlands are doing.
Over on my blog right now you will find my @rararesources cover reveal for #TheNileCruise by @CarolineJames12 so please head over there and find out more! https://t.co/RM82gBiSP0
We know today is a day full of excitement, hope, and a new beginning. But some things are far bigger than football.
Mark Townsend suffered a cardiac arrest at our game against West Brom in 2024. He hasn’t been forgotten.
If you’re in the ground tomorrow, please join in a minute’s applause on the 57th minute to remember Mark and show support to his family.
Please share this to ensure it gets the required reach.

Today marks a fresh start for Sheffield Wednesday.
It brings to a close a period of misery, frustration, anger and genuine concern. It draws a line under a torrid regime.
First and foremost, enjoy it. Every single person associated with this football club deserves that. 🏝️🦉
Game number 1.
Sheffield Wednesday fans protest against Dejphon Chansiri, applauded by Leicester fans.
Game number 46.
Sheffield Wednesday will celebrate their new ownership 💪
Essa Suleiman faces three charges of attempted murder
But Keir Starmer and Shabana Mahmood spend an entire day giving interviews and only mentioned two victims
Why did Starmer and Mahmood only talk about the two Jewish victims and ignore the third, a Muslim victim?
At 9:00am he was attacking the Muslim victim in Southwark
At 11:15am he started his rampage in Golders Green attacking two Jewish victims
If the Met police caught him at 9am in Southwark there wouldn't have been the 11:15am incident in Golders Green
Starmer and Mahmood rightly raise concern about the attack on the two Jewish men, but why are they silent over the attack on the Muslim man a coupe of hours earlier?
There's been wall-to-wall coverage of the Jewish victims, has anyone in the media reached out to the Muslim victim, Ishmail Hussein, for comment?
If a Conservative Prime Minister and Home Secretary ignored one victim and focused on the other two, every Labour supporter would call them out for it
But because it's a Labour PM and HS, every Labour voter is silent
Starmer was meant to bring change to British politics, instead it's just more of the same
Shame on Keir Starmer who is literally shaping an island of strangers
Without going all pseudo-intellectual; at the heart of it, football is all about the shared human experience. Today will be one of those. Enjoy it; wear something daft, have another drink, cuddle a stranger.
Who truly knows what comes next, but for today who cares? Today is about the last year and the scale of shared achievement. It's about how people worked together and kept the thing breathing. And it's about the renewal of hope and possibility.
Park protests, leaflets, boycotts, embassies, Leicester, Boro, Megastore sell-outs, Oxford, endless togetherness on endless doomed away trips. Fear, defiance, faith. Personally, I'm proud and privileged to have witnessed the whole lot.
Today's society feels increasingly individual and cold and uninterested in the value of community. It wasn't without its moments, but the overwhelming feeling is that Sheffield Wednesday's 2025/26 travails brought it all back. Awesome in the true sense of the word.
UTO.
