@BookyBaucum@loom@VAASL My game changer from VAASL this year was the amazing session put on by @carolynvibbert on gaming in the library. What a bright ray of sunshine for our kiddos!
@carolynvibbert On the wonderful occasion that one might have extra Title 1 monies to purchase some board games, what would be your top 10-15 recommended or your kiddo's favorites?
This week in our library we are loving Rubik's Race and a few new logic puzzle games!
@carolynvibbert@Cabrera_RY Thank you! We have everything except Happy Farm and Sherlock so those will be top of our list and perhaps additional copies of some of our favorites. I wasn't sure which version of Happy Farm is correct...there were two on #boardgamegeek.
@carolynvibbert@Cabrera_RY Oh! I should have said that I'm PK-4. We're trying to do a family game night so something fun for all ages. After your amazing session at #VAASL, I purchased about 100 new games for our library! We ADORE Happy Salmon so anything like that? We really like cooperative games too!
@jen_spisak A3: I think that is part of our position and ties in perfectly with what we do. I also think that we need to share this skill with our teachers. Many of the digital resources for research that we have were not available when our teachers were coming through college! #LUSLIB600
@jen_spisak A2: I don't think that's the case at all! Not only is it providing a realistic view of research in the 21rst century, but students are provided access to more resources than ever before. This gives them a much broader opportunity to engage with their topic! #LUSLIB600
@jen_spisak A1: Digital curation is a means to provide our students access to digital resources that are relevant, usable and safe in addition to teaching them how to use these tools for research. #LUSLIB600
