Some pictures on the "Cultural Landscape Syria Preservation and Archiving in Times of War-Exhibition" at #pergamonmuseum in #Berlin. @UniHannover @Energy_AUB
Yesterday, learning with my @UniHannover students interesting subjects on solar plants in situ by visiting solar plant for waterworks in Tegel, #Berlin (#solaranlage#WasserwerkTegel). It is a great sample of renewable energy-inclusion in an environment! @Energy_AUB@MSFEA_AUB
It was my pleasure to present my Modul "Renewable Energy Integration in Urban&Rural Areas in Developing Countries" by starting Summer Semester 2019 (SoSe2019) at Institute of Landscape Architecture (ILA) and Institute of Environmental Planning (IUP)" at @UniHannover @Energy_AUB
It was my pleasure to be part of the lecture with Dr. Julia Wiehe at @LeibnizUni. The Environmental Planning-students were very motivated in questions, discussions & sharing of energy situation from their home countries @Energy_AUB@MSFEA_AUB
Enjoying a boat ride with the family & friends and catching a glimpse of wind energy park and PV installations on roof from a boat on the high seas #SteinhuderMeer in Lower Saxon, Germany @EnergiewendeGER@MSFEA_AUB
Yesterday, it was a pleasure to visit @Wupperinst to present my research on "sustainable energy transition in Lebanon" Thanks for the interesting questions & interest in the Lebanese energy sector @AUB_Lebanon@Energy_AUB Some pictures of the neighbourhood of the Institute.
Lebanon ranks fourth among 137 countries in its electric supply... just behind Yemen that is suffering one of the worst wars and Haiti recovering from an earthquake. The reason? Corruption... Will McKinsey solve it? 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ https://t.co/9bBcoeoklg
Very controversial & interesting subjects (such as how to combat corruption in new energy sectors) are open to further discussion after the substantial debate „Between Oil & Renewables: What Energy Mix for Lebanon?” @ifi_aub@Energy_AUB@MSFEA_AUB@AUB_Lebanon @CEDRO_EU_UNDP
In a class project for ENST 396C, @Energy_AUB students did a survey on plastic bags use by customers of the three most popular supermarkets in Hamra, Beirut. Results: Some individuals use up to 11 plastic bags/week & other individuals are using no plastic bags at all @MSFEA
Thanks to our guest lecturer, Philippe Chite @UNESCWA, for the very interesting lecture on Energy Situation in Syria in my ENST396D class! Our visitor Prof. von Haaren @LeibnizUni my students & I enjoyed it a lot! He obtained a MSc in Energy Studies @Energy_AUB@MSFEA_AUB in 2017
Grateful to have the opportunity to participate and learn from distinguished colleagues including Prof. Christina von Haaren from the German @LeibnizUni at the seminar and panel on “Energy Transition” @Energy_AUB@AUB_Lebanon
Looking forward to our event on “Energy Transition” and our special guest Prof. Christina von Haaren from my alma mater, Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) in Germany @UniHannover @Energy_AUB@MSFEA_AUB@AUB_Lebanon https://t.co/JVs9O9b26O
Our energy studies students visited with Dr. @Boom_Renewables the Malala School, a school for Syrian refugee girls, to conduct a mini workshop on „The Role of Environmental Awareness for the Energy Transition Process in Lebanon” @MSFEA_AUB@AUB_Lebanon
I´m very proud of my students @Energy_AUB from the class “Energy Resources & Renewable Technologies:Regional Analysis” for their strong effort to transfer their knowledge on environmental issues and renewable energies at Malala School, a school for Syrian refugee girls @MSFEA_AUB
