While Poland is about to overtake Japan‘s GDP per capita next year, keep in mind that Poland & Ukraine's GDP used to be on par some 30 years ago. Poland joined the EU & NATO, and became a success story. Putin made everything possible to prevent Ukraine from becoming such success.
@Hey_Its_Cinek@visegrad24 Literally all of those things are also built in EU. Many of them being better products than in US. Not all, but the ones that aren't, are still good enough. And while US has credible NAVY, they literally cant build ships. No matter how hard you hope they do, they can't...
When I was 22 years old, I took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States.
The only oath Elon Musk seems to have made is to his billionaire buddies and his own bank account.
Unelected oligarch commissar Musk takes a break from posting fake news, fascist memes, and attacking Ukraine with old Kremlin talking points to slander a US Senator and veteran. He really is a renaissance man!
Traitor?
Elon, if you don’t understand that defending freedom is a basic tenet of what makes America great and keeps us safe, maybe you should leave it to those of us who do.
@thimitrios @politicsusa46 They are not going to buy the US arms. Short term they are probably willing to buy some ammunition/missiles for stockpiles and for Ukraine but the majority of the money will be directed to European manufacturers who will ramp up their production.
@TomTHEDogiecoin@CityNewsVAN Looks like the other ship is built in Finland? I guess they are trying to create jobs in Canada and thus decided to built one in Canada. But they are def unnecessarily risking the project with delays and higher "unexpected" costs by doing that.
@Gerashchenko_en Unfortunate but ICEYE is superior anyway and since its a Finnish alternative, I doubt they are shutting you out. Should be a nobrainer for Ukraine and Europe to use their satellites.
@RealAnarchy29@P_Kallioniemi What is not realistic? That is exactly what is happening right now. They will most likely respect the existing deals and short-term they will make new orders something like ammo but the lion share of new orders will go to other than US manufacturers...
@nothyphenated2@P_Kallioniemi There is no kill switch but US can make it difficult to use some systems efficiently. There are very few reasons why European countries would keep making new orders to US manufacturers. You should respect the already done deals and direct the new orders to European manufacturers.
@RealAnarchy29@P_Kallioniemi The alternatives are European (and south korean/japanese). They can produce everything that is needed against russia. Unfortunately them pivoting away is a big hit for US economy since there are no buyers that can match European orders...
@Bigsherm0926@daScrounger@JayinKyiv That is US national defence budget. The very same US is planning to cut. So it means even less orders from that budget. Now lets talk about US Nato budget. US Nato spending is $567M per year. That is the amount US can use for its weapons industry without increasing any spending.
