I swear to God if this PE teacher is still in charge by tomorrow we need to not only protest but riot, they are destroying our club in front of our eyes.
Your nervous system’s job is to keep you stable.
This is because your body doesn’t know the difference between growth and safety
Growth = not safe for many people’s bodies
That’s why people get stuck all the time. It’s because they feel unsafe.
Now this mechanism was great back one sudden changes to your environment may have equaled death
But not so good in the modern age lol
It’s also great when you’re living in alignment and getting what you want out of life.
It’s not so great when that same system is what’s keeping you stuck.
A simple way to tell if you’re actually growing is this: you feel uncomfortable. A little unstable. Off-balance.
That doesn’t mean something is wrong.
It just means something is new.
If you know in your gut that you’re moving in the right direction, keep going. Your nervous system will adapt. Stability will return, at a higher level, and then momentum will follow.
And once you have momentum going for you then you are unstoppable.
This is why after I hypnotize people many of them experience whiplash at times depending on what we changed and their environment/personal circumstances.
Their mind will try to trick them into believing they didn’t change in order to bring them back to that stability.
But once you get past that period, you get to the next level and then your body and mind adjusts.
This is why I constantly harp on moving towards what makes you uncomfortable.
I know I’m growing when I face a little discomfort every single day. I purposefully post the articles or tweets that make me feel uncomfortable. And every single time I experience growth after.
Discomfort is often the signal that growth is occurring.
Your mind, on the other hand, will play endless tricks to keep you exactly where you are. I post examples of this all the time. And I’m going to make it an effort to post more so you see exactly what this looks like.
Wisdom is knowing when to listen to the mind, and when to tell it to shut up and trust your gut.
Move toward what makes you uncomfortable.
A mistake won’t kill you.
A mistake is just tuition for your future.
But not being willing to make a mistake or letting your fear run you will absolutely keep you stuck.
Everyone is capable of change.
I help people change every single day.
You just have to trust that you can change.
A lot of what I do is teaching people how to rebuild their relationship with trusting that they can change.
