Irish couple left speechless after a small-town Alabama restaurant owner quietly picked up their entire tab.
Meanwhile, the same people who spent years sneering that Alabama was nothing but “backward rednecks” just got a masterclass in Southern hospitality. No lectures. No virtue signaling. No social media performance. Just genuine kindness from people the elites love to mock.
Turns out character isn’t measured by ZIP code—it’s measured by actions. And once again, small-town America embarrassed the self-appointed “tolerant” crowd without saying a word.
I agree 100%. "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
After having season tickets, on and off, for nearly 30 years, we've decided to give them up for both the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals this year.
When you're spending hundreds of dollars per game to take the family, only to see the same disappointing results year after year, it starts to feel a little insane. I've been a fan for decades and will continue to be one, but for now, I need a break.
@sports8 That is beautiful ! Wilmington, Ohio just dedicated our #RoadToAmerica250 version on Memorial Day. Located in rural SW Ohio, it is fittingly painted on the downtown grain silos of Buckley Brothers Inc., which has been around for since 1904.
No refund plus we were unable to list our tickets for resale. Spent an hour talking to what we thought were Bristol reps but found no one was in the ticket office and we were talking to someone in Charlotte. We were hoping to get them to someone who wanted to go and didn't really care about the price.
Funded a 529 Plan and have assets remaining after paying for college? (believe it or not, even with college costs where they are today, it does actually happen.)
Rather than tax and penalize the funds, 💥💥 consider a Roth Conversion.💥💥
The Secure Act 2.0 allows for the conversion of 529 account balances to Roth IRA for the SAME beneficiary. Of course the conversions come with stipulations (it wouldn't be the IRS without stipulations). Among other requirements of the conversion:
💡 The beneficiary of the 529 Plan MUST also be the owner of the Roth IRA.
💡 The 529 account must have been open for at least 15 years prior to making the conversion. And only funds contributed to the 529 more than 5 years prior can be converted.
💡 The lifetime conversion limit, per beneficiary, is $35,000.
💡 Annual conversion amounts are limited to IRA contribution limit amounts (Yes-- it may take more than one year to convert the entire 529 account).
This could be an excellent opportunity to further setup your loved ones for life after college and avoid having to pay penalties on money you have saved.
