Police and plows didn’t come until 5am!!
All last night I was calling the police and AAA and there was no help, we were running low on gas, so scary
I eventually contacted the news. We’re now safe in a hotel!

@cryztalvampire @VaDOTFRED We left at 4pm, way after the snow stopped because the hotel we were staying in lost electricity. We planned to travel a short way to a new hotel. @VaDOT @VaDOTFRED dropped the ball here. No roads were treated or plowed. Emergency vehicles didn’t show up until 5am!!

For the past several hours though, we’ve been stopped at a standstill on 95 south. Trying to conserve our gas by turning off the car, but we have little kids in the car!
