Reminder that business unions cannot beat the establishment because they seek deals that will benefit their members while hurting other workers. Long term organizational stability is more important than winning anything.
Oligarchs vs. Workers
Oligarchs:
💰Musk’s wealth - $402 billion
💰Zuckerberg's wealth - $252 billion
💰Bezos' wealth - $249 billion
Workers:
🛠️60% live paycheck to paycheck
🛠️ 85 million uninsured or underinsured
🛠️ 800k homeless
End Oligarchy. Fight for working families.
Elon Musk, the richest guy in the world, is going after USAID, which feeds the poorest people in the world.
Next, he’ll go after the programs that impact you: Medicaid, Medicare, community health centers, Pell Grants, affordable housing.
We can stop him.
BREAKING: Allies are being arrested in NYC after staging peaceful sit-in to support union baristas' fight for a contract.
It is shameful that Starbucks let it get to this point. We need CEO Brian Niccol to bargain a fair economic offer with our union NOW.

Yesterday, we submitted a letter to REI management. In it, we asked that the company voluntarily recognize the union that a supermajority of our coworkers want to form here at REI Boston.
You can read that letter in its entirety here:
If you want the US to "do it like France does" just remember that in 6 months or less 300,000 Teamsters are going to strike UPS and every single person even remotely on the left that can should be on the picket lines in support.
We are asking community members to contact Bri Dusty, HR of Pavement Coffeehouse at [email protected] and ask that she reinstates the fired employees at their home store and that Pavement gives them back-pay for both suspension and termination time.
Out of the employees who called out, only trans workers were fired, and 2 workers were misgendered in their termination letters.
At a time where many parts of the country are targeting queer individuals, we expected better from Pavement.
