We are asking community members to contact Bri Dusty, HR of Pavement Coffeehouse at [email protected] and ask that she reinstates the fired employees at their home store and that Pavement gives them back-pay for both suspension and termination time.
Pavement Coffeehouse terminated 4 trans cafe workers today.
After a year of receiving reports from queer employees, Pavement has failed to meaningfully address transphobic behavior at its stores.
Out of the employees who called out, only trans workers were fired, and 2 workers were misgendered in their termination letters.
At a time where many parts of the country are targeting queer individuals, we expected better from Pavement.
