I don't think it's going to be boring at all. If you actually love football, this is exactly the kind of matchup you want to watch to open the season. Seattle lost K9, their Super Bowl MVP, and now has something to prove. New England got embarrassed in the Super Bowl, then added A.J. Brown, Romeo Doubs and upgraded the O-line. Campbell looks fully recovered from his MCL tear, too. Calling Seattle a boring team with a journeyman QB and one weapon is also selling them way short. There’s plenty of juice here.

Gonzalez has officially signed a 4-year, $135M extension with $102M guaranteed, making him the highest-paid corner in the league and NFL history.

He’s made major strides in his development, and now it’s time to see him prove he’s worth every penny. Hopefully, tomorrow night is the first step.

Red Sox get the win 5 to 2 with Bello delivering a strong start! He allowed just 4 hits while striking out 7. Duran added a solo shot, while Rutschman’s 3-run homer led the offense. Another solid all-around performance from the Sox!

Did you actually watch the OL play, or were you just watching Drake? Campbell was playing on one knee and shouldn’t have been out there. Lowe would’ve been an improvement. Campbell gave up 14 pressures by himself in the Super Bowl. Y’all blame the QB for everything instead of looking at the whole team. It’s football, not 7-on-7.

@MakarTruther98 Game has been trash since 2014 and that wasn't even the best NHL. EA banks on hockey lovers buying the game because they don't have competition. At this point the only way to get them to make changes is to boycott NHL. They care more about Madden and College Football

Tolle earns the win as the Sox hold on for a 3-1 victory! He dominated with 12 Ks, while the pitching staff stayed steady all afternoon. Chapman picked up his 400th career save. Eli White provided the offense with an early 3-run homer.

Boston moves to 79-65. Not bad considering how this season started!

Red Sox win 5-0 behind a solid performance from Sonny Gray. Gray allowed just 3 hits over 7 innings while striking out 7 and walking 3. The long ball was absent tonight, but that didn’t stop the Sox from putting runs on the board. They’ll at least walk away with the series win and take on the Orioles for the final time this season tomorrow.

Lol its okay. I agree with all of your replies. I think another big factor is the OC. McDaniels is probably one of the better OCs in the game, and I think his system will play well with Maye’s personality. Maye is more willing to take chances, so I could see him looking for Brown first and sticking with that read unless the window is basically gone.

Hurts is different. He’ll look at his first read, see that it’s a little tight, and move through his progressions until he finds a better option. Hurts doesn’t get enough credit for that. He’s still a very good QB; he’s just more risk-averse.

Both are solid QBs, but not every QB is necessarily the best fit for every WR. I think Maye’s willingness to take those chances could be exactly what AJ Brown wants, while Hurts’ more cautious approach can sometimes frustrate him. Neither approach is inherently wrong—it’s about having the right QB and WR personalities working together.

It will definitely be interesting to see this season for both teams. Eagles are my second favorite team. I still have my McNabb jersey. I always felt you can have two favorite teams so long as they're different leagues. Never had anything bad to say about Eagles fans. Plus, I think we can both agree, we hate the Giants and Cowboys.

That’s what I felt too. AJ likes the challenge, and I loved watching Hurts when he was allowed to unleash it. But when it comes to the playoffs, I prefer the more conservative approach. There’s a time and place for both: take more chances during the regular season, but play a little more conservatively in the playoffs.
I think Brown understood that too, which is why he was frustrated with the coaching and, to a degree, Hurts following that approach. He knew what Hurts was capable of, so seeing him limit himself didn’t exactly help the team. In the end, I think both Hurts and Brown suffered because the coaching philosophy limited what the offense could be.
The 2024 and 2025 seasons felt like two completely different extremes. I think the Eagles could’ve gotten more out of that offense with a different approach. The OC limited what they were capable of, and ultimately, I think that played a big role in why Brown wanted out.

That’s kind of where I am too. If Brown feels like something is negatively affecting his stats, I think he can spiral a bit. There’s nothing wrong with that—it’s just part of his personality. Hopefully that doesn’t happen, but I’d understand if it did. It’s not really about the Eagles or Pats; it’s about how he’s wired.

I also think Maye’s personality is a little different. Hurts is still a top-10 QB (around 9 or 10), but I see him as more cautious, while Maye seems more willing to take chances and attack tight windows. In the playoffs, I think Maye could actually learn a lot from Hurts. Over the regular season, though, I’d give Maye the slight edge.

Personally, I’d take caution over throwing into tight windows any day in the playoffs. But if Maye can learn when to take those risks and when to play it safe, that could be a huge advantage. And if I’m wrong about Hurts this time, I’ll gladly admit it—I’m not going to be the “I told you so” guy.

A perfect pitching performance when the offense could only muster one run.
