"'People will believe you': Leeds abuse advocate urges men to seek help"
Huge thank you to Darryl Matthews, a male survivor of domestic abuse, for this vitally important message. Please read below.

🏡🩵 A huge THANK YOU to @mulberryhomesUK for their incredibly generous donation of £1,250 to Both Parents Matter. Thank you for supporting us to be there for families when they need it most.
A beautiful reminder that our greatest riches are so often found not in status, success or power — but in the children we are blessed to love and protect.
Children with additional needs do not diminish a family; they often deepen it. ♥️
@Charlie_PACoach So much trauma is triggered from poor attachments in childhood.
I'm currently reading #unspeakable by Dr Gwen Adshead.
So far the adult survivors who cope least well, are those who experienced childhood trauma. The worse it was, the less resilience they had in Adulthood 😭
@ICT_MrP 👏 Well said.
My concern is the trend I don't like seeing in schools is where an ideology is presented as an accepted part of the curriculum, and when our kids do use their critical thinking skills, they're labelled as oppositional, and defiant.
@ICT_MrP 🎯 again
Your expertise means you see how the algorithms are seducing children.
My experience means I see parental conflict impacting healthy child development.
Their resilience impaired & causing harm well into adulthood.
Yet politicians have no appetite to address either 😡
Spreading false and unevidenced allegations about men is a worrying trend especially when there is no consequence for doing so. It is a form of coercive control. This case below shows the devastating impact it has.

@LisaBritton Too many people are comfortable living in their victimhood, long after the threat is gone.
That's where a good support system is vital, to help victims recognise the difference between support and control/abuse.
We need 💪 survivors
@ICT_MrP I taught in Canada for a year in a newly built school. It had little windows because it was going to have air con for the HOT summers.
Guess wot.
Economy cut. No air con.
@TheTinMenBlog Is it the workplace's fault that they're not progressing in their careers or their choice to raise a family?
Surely, their career- their choice.
Both paths are vital, but one isn't valued by those pushing this narrative.
Meanwhile we lose sight of what it's costing our men.
Please listen. Maeve is spot on & in this ever shallower virtue signalling world, you may think letting gay kids ruin their bodies & any chance of a healthy future is kindness (it is not, it’s cowardice, protecting them is) or ruining young girls sporting dreams, by allowing boys to unfairly steal their accolades, is kindness (it’s not, its un factual & un scientific) or allowing male sexual predators to share cells with vulnerable female inmates… is kindness (it most definitely is not, it torture). Just check your logic. Stop Being a Handmaiden or a coward & be more Maeve.
Watch these two clips and tell me what they have in common. The lack of understanding towards the struggles so many families face. The lack of awareness of the cost of living crisis and the decimation of the systems that should be supporting parents. Telling, to say the
I've set a target of £1,345 - a £ for every metre.
So far I have an easy 60m hike up Ben Nevis.
Please encourage this granny by sponsoring me and supporting @BothParentsMtr

@TheGayChrist@CasperBryson@ManKindInit I care about children who need healthy roles models in their lives... and must include Dads.
I also care about justice, common sense and compassion.
Our human rights are based on that.
Our politicians seem to have forgotten this too.
@CasperBryson@ManKindInit I know. It's so sad that they won't recognise male victims or female perpetrators of DA.
Or victims of Parental Alienation- which IS DA- coercive and controlling behaviour.
