70% of graduate students work more than 40 hours per week & 68% have difficulty maintaining a good work–life balance. Nearly half (45%) of scientists across all career stages report signs of burnout and overwork. Time-management tools may be able to help. https://t.co/Wojj1n2MFw
It was great to attend the @US_OCB workshop on best practices for @oceanobserv biogeochemical data! I ♥️ reproducible science and meeting new science friends. Thank you to @HilaryPalevsky and @sophclayt for your leadership and vision, and Heather, Mai and Mary for your support!
We are delighted to announce the expansion of our Editorial Board with 10 new members:

En route to self sufficiency. No more stress of making 3 trips a day to the chemical store or worrying if we’re gonna run out of liq N2 before the store closes and hassled free all time N isotope analysis! #growthegame
@knrhardin-Kim, a AP environmental Science teacher has been working in our lab for about a month now. She brings so much energy and excitement to the lab! So excited to have her around.
Congratulations @oceanHollgraphy for graduating with a masters! Her presentation was so impressive!!! We’re so proud of her!
Watch out for this isotope star.
In about a week the first grad student from our lab is gonna graduate !!!!
Can’t have had a better student to set the grad student standards for the lab. @oceanHollgraphy#WomenInSTEM#chemistrynerds
Aly and William (rising high school seniors) went sampling today. They were so present, focused and enthusiastic.
The excitement level is off the boat.
This week we switched the IRMS from the bacterial method to N2O method.
To mark the end of the switch we test the linearity of the mass spec.
Can’t have any flaw in the method!!
