I have something personal to share. I haven’t been posting in recent months and felt like I should explain what’s going on.
I discovered I have Achalasia, a rare motility disorder of the esophagus. Since February, it had progressively gotten worse. I lost 30+ pounds, could barely get anything down, and my life quickly regressed to its most basic form.. each day trying to eat enough to stop the weight loss and survive until surgery.
Before the diagnosis, I was already feeling burnt out from BTSG. But I felt an obligation to you to be “active” coupled with enormous pressure to post as much and care as much as I used to which only fueled my bitterness and resentment.
So I needed to take time away from it all. I have more to say about this, maybe in a future post. But for now I’m recovering and resting. I’m easing my way back into normal day to day life.
I don’t know what will happen. What I do know is I want to engage with my work in a way that feels alive and helps more people while also respecting the limitations of my body. Thank you for reading ❤️
@BoardGameMike I like your content. We normally play Flip 7 with 3 players because with more players the game drags too long. Do you think Vengeance is better than normal edition?
