Let me remind you that as Chief Justice, David Maraga called for the impeachment of Uhuru Kenyatta for violating the Constitution. He did so not once but time without number. For whatever it’s worth, it held the belligerent President at bay.
Championing inclusive development under H.E. President @WilliamsRuto's Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), the Wajir County Aggregation and Industrial Park (CAIP), now nearing completion, stands as a transformative investment opening up historically marginalized regions to industrial growth.
Launched in 2023 as a joint initiative co-funded equally by the National Government and the Wajir County Government, the project is strategically positioned at the heart of key trade nodes to unlock the full potential of Wajir's livestock and agro-pastoral economy.
The park is part of the wider national CAIPs programme involving 34 participating counties and also falls under phase two of the establishment of 16 County Aggregation and Industrial Parks (CAIPs) currently being rolled out across the country.
It is designed to drive value addition by shifting from the sale of live animals to local processing of meat, leather and dairy products.
It integrates modern cold storage and warehousing facilities to reduce post-harvest losses, while creating thousands of jobs across processing, logistics and support services.
By enabling herders to aggregate, grade and sell directly to markets, the project also minimizes exploitation by middlemen and enhances incomes across the value chain.
Key components include aggregation centres for pooling and grading livestock and dryland crops, ready-to-use industrial sheds for investors and MSMEs, and a robust logistics and utilities network featuring specialized cooling systems, reliable power infrastructure and independent water supply.
The project forms part of the wider national CAIPs programme that the President has since described as one of the most consequential economic transformation initiatives under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) aimed at turning counties into engines of industrialisation, innovation, value addition and job creation while transitioning Kenya from a consumption economy to a production economy.
Already, 10 out of the first 18 CAIPs are complete and ready for investors.
The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration continues to play a critical role in supporting the delivery of the project, facilitating coordination across agencies and ensuring a secure, orderly environment that safeguards both the infrastructure and the communities it is set to serve. Masikio Party is slowly turning into a political comedy unfolding in broad daylight. By appointing @methumuhia as Secretary General, Gachagua was clearly trying to contain the growing influence of @Cleophasmalala whose bold political style had unsettled many within the party ranks. But this week exposed everything. We watched two separate press conferences from leaders belonging to the same party. On one side stood Gachagua, Methu and a few Central Kenya MPs trying to project unity, while on the other side Malala addressed the media alone.
The division within Masikio Party is now impossible to hide. And truth be told, since Malala stepped away from the centre of operations, Methu’s press briefings have lacked direction and political weight. The difference is becoming more visible by the day. Then came the clearest signal yet: Hezron Obaga had to be pushed aside because the leadership of the party must remain firmly within Central Kenya. That single move has exposed Masikio for what it is rapidly becoming not a national party, but a one-tribe political outfit.
Kenyans deserve justice that is transparent, reasoned, and accountable.
Today, I have petitioned the Judicial Service Commission @jsckenya to investigate three Court of Appeal judges who suspended High Court orders blocking the Kenya-US Health Cooperation Framework, but withheld their reasons for doing so until October 2026.
My concern is not that they ruled against me. It is that an immediately enforceable decision was issued without reasons, effectively frustrating a timely appeal to the @THE_SCOK and denying Kenyans meaningful access to justice.
Judicial independence must be protected. But independence and accountability must go hand in hand. No institution is above the Constitution.

At the World Economic Forum Stakeholder Dialogue on AI Competitiveness, I joined global leaders to discuss how nations can build sovereign AI capabilities while strengthening international cooperation.
Kenya’s position is clear: AI must advance competitiveness, shared prosperity, and public trust.
We are committed to building secure digital infrastructure, expanding access to compute, and ensuring Africa is not just a consumer of AI—but a co-builder of global AI ecosystems.

The Attorney General must now move the High Court to declare Dr. Magare Gikenyi (Benjamin Magare Gikenyi) a vexatious litigant. Before you comment from a position of ignorance, read the Vexatious Proceedings Act.
Today, we gathered to celebrate a remarkable milestone in the journey of an extraordinary individual; Linus Kaikai, now officially admitted to the Bar. This achievement is not only a personal triumph for Linus, but also an inspiration to all who believe in growth, reinvention, and the power of lifelong learning.
Linus has long been known as a courageous journalist, a voice of clarity, reason, and integrity. Honoured to address the Congress at the High-Level Segment of the ITU WTDC-25 here in Baku, Azerbaijan.
In my statement, I highlighted Kenya’s strong commitment to advancing universal, meaningful, and affordable connectivity as we work toward an inclusive and sustainable digital future.
Kenya’s digital transformation continues to deliver real impact:
Nearly 800,000 people in underserved areas now connected through expanded mobile coverage.
Over $300 million from the Universal Service Fund driving broadband rollout to reach 2.7 million unconnected citizens, connect government institutions, expand fibre networks, and enhance digital learning in schools.
Digital public platforms such as E-Citizen and E-Procurement improving transparency and service delivery.
Inclusive digital initiatives offering assistive technologies for learners with print disabilities and digital skills programs across 1,450 youth hubs.
I also underscored Kenya’s leadership in Africa’s digital agenda. As hosts of an ITU Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre, we continue to nurture a vibrant startup ecosystem that is shaping solutions for the continent. Our collaboration with regional partners such as through the Africa Broadband Mapping Systems project reinforces Africa’s growing role in the global digital conversation.
With the National Digital Masterplan 2022–2032, our National AI Strategy, and ongoing 5G deployment, Kenya remains committed to building an inclusive, future-ready digital economy.
Kenya stands ready to work with all partners to drive people-centred digital transformation across the world.
