@eagles_attack Didn't underdtand thay forced out in the 8th and risk losing an at bat to maybe extend the lead. Total panic move. Should know that we couldn't get away w that w the level of talent our opposition.
@MargiePJ Amen to that Margie. I hate when fans are put to shame for being disappointed.
It's our time. Our money. Our travel. Our sun burns. Our hoarse voices from cheering. The fans have done their part! We are allowed to be disappointed in last night's result. We look like frauds.
@SouthMSRN Team can't hit in post ssn especially whenwe host. They're pretty mucj coached to lose this game whenever we host.
If Tanner Hall and Landon Harper are not on the pitching staff- we lose those regionals.
@wpmcgee Honestly, I'm fine going 2 and cue if it means we can get a coaching change at hitting. We can't win this regional w this pitching staff and crappy hitting.
Are we coaching the team to LOSE to the 4 seed every year? If so we are super successful with that.
@MichaelBorkey Best coach Ole Miss ever had and you find out he utterly despises the institution. Borkey resents Lane who escaped the grift while Borkey stays behind, stuck in it.
Some NCAA tournament thoughts going into Sunday's @NCAABaseball action:
1) The American is increasingly looking like a one-bid league. UTSA has gained separation and ECU and UAB are now three games back in the standings w/ RPIs in the 50s. That's problematic.
2) Outside of Kansas, if you were a Top 8 seed last week, you're probably still in great shape this week. Contenders such as KU, Coastal Carolina, Mississippi State have all lost games and/or series this weekend. Coastal dropping to 24 in the RPI is noteworthy.
3) We had Oregon as the No. 16 seed last week, and today's game against UCLA was massive. Ducks are up to 21 in the RPI, and with a series win, would be in a pretty good spot.
4) Keep an eye on Oklahoma State. The Pokes are ridiculously hot right now, and that is a team with a lineup that I would NOT want to play in the NCAA tournament.
5) I'd also keep an eye on Arkansas in the hosting discussion. The Hogs picked up a series win over Oklahoma, and are now 15-11 in the SEC. Win that UK series on the road to get to 17-12 in the league, and the hosting case is pretty strong - especially with 12 wins vs. RPI Q1. Stay tuned. But the Hogs were trending up.
6) Barring the teams winning their conference tournaments, the three longest postseason streaks will end: Vanderbilt (19), LSU (13), Dallas Baptist (11). I suppose Vandy isn't 'totally done' -- but they've got a 50 mile drive with 10 miles left on the tank.
7) Keep an eye on Texas State getting sneaky in the Sun Belt. The Bobcats won the first two games against Arkansas State on the road and are up 8 spots in the RPI. Win today and beat UTSA on the road Tuesday, and that RPI will be closer to 40 w/ a league record around .500. Probably not there yet, but getting much closer.
@BrickJohnson131 I know getting absolutely demolished and embarrassed is really hard. I know when our program was in the dumps we had to do what we could on here to cope. Deal with it however you need to brother!
You can see the displeasure it brings to Dorkey and Brian to hear someone speak highly of USM. They would much prefer to fondle each other with compliments of their “rival” schools.
