@Soteriology101 Leighton, you're an idiot. Im sorry, but you just are. Your garbage, childish posts are appealing to those who are as ignorant as you, but not to those who actually love the God of scripture. You have been refuted and corrected time and again, but your ignorance knows no bounds
@stevebward You people continue to gnash your teeth at God, pathetically trying to reduce him to human categories. Your absurdity (blinded by you're own depravity) is akin to inanimate objects answering back to their creator. You people hate the God of the bible
@ronhenzel@ACorduan Problem is, these people have erected an altar to the fictitious "autonomous will of man," and they seek to hold on to/protect that idol at all cost. The glory of God is not at the top of their list
@5PointBaptist@RefRetrieval โThe Lord has made all for Himself, Yes, even the wicked for the day of doom.โ
Proverbs 16:4. These people who rail against what the scriptures explicitly teach are not Christians. They worship man, and their top priority is to hold on to the myth of mans autonomous free will
@MrEncouragement@ronhenzel Once again, verses stripped of their context in order to push your false theology. It gets worse, and worse. You sir, are not an exegete. It would be hoover you stop wirh the hysterical posts railing against God's absolute sovereignty and the clear didactic teachings of scripture
@MrEncouragement@ronhenzel This entire comment of yours once again demonstrates your utter ignorance, sir. I'm sorry, but you are extremely ignorant. To the biblically sound, they will see exactly why people like you cannot be consistent with their theology. It gets worse
@MrEncouragement@ronhenzel You undermine the work of the cross, turning it into a plan B instead of the result of God's glorious decree. This is precisely why I question the salvation of people like you who are not only ignorant, but actively attack biblical truth.
@MrEncouragement@ronhenzel In your unbiblical view, God must learn as He goes, basing His decisions off of the will of the creature, ironically the only creature He seemingly cant control in the anti-reformed view. Your response indicates you just absolutely hate the absolute sovereignty of God
@MrEncouragement@ronhenzel Yea, I cant entertain this tantrum and pathetic attempt to exalt mans autonomous will over the absolute sovereignty of God who has declared the end from the beginning and ordained whatsoever comes to pass. Its getting worse. Cant help yourself
Heres my view of the salvation of non Calvinist....
You do not need to be a Calvinist to be saved. That said.....
I put non Calvinist in 3 classes.
1) Either never heard of Calvinism or they have but dont spend any time arguing about it. They view the issue like eschatology. Its a "non essential."
I have no problem whatsoever fellowshipping with these brethren.
2) Those who are familiar with the subject and spend all day arguing against it. Theyre generally respectful in their wording, but nevertheless expose will worship and a general dislike of Gods rule.
I have serious questions about their salvation. Constantly kicking against such a important truth, a truth that touches the way in which God saves. I wouldnt fellowship with such people out of caution, though I do hold out hope that theyre just confused like the Galatians and need some time.
3) Those who spit venom at the doctrines of grace. They absolutely despise the sovereignty of God. They use words like "demonic," "satanic," "cult," from the pit of hell," ect to describe Calvinism. Or, in the case of Dinesh, words like "monster," "ape," "tyrant," and "abominable."
Not only do I not believe these people are not saved, but may have or are on the verge of the unpardonable sin. These people are blasphemers and very possibly vessels of wrath prepared for destruction.
@MrEncouragement@ronhenzel Your conclusion necessitates war crimes against the text and tossing context out of the window. Peter is writing to "those who have obtained like precious faith", the elect. Your horrendously unbiblical approach leaves you in open theist and universalism territory
@MrEncouragement@ronhenzel Enough with your obsession with Calvin and handle the text. 2 Peter 3:9 is not even ablut salvation, it is about why God has delayed the coming of His Son. The context is so that all the elect will enter the sheep fold. The "us" and "all" are not an anonymous group
@MrEncouragement@ronhenzel The perfect passive gegennฤtaiโโhas been bornโโdescribes regeneration as a completed divine act with continuing results, supporting that the believing person has already been born of God. In order to believe, one must be born of God. Is everyone born of God?
@MrEncouragement@ronhenzel Literal translation of 1 John 5:1 โEveryone believing that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God...."
God grants belief (Phillipians 1:29)
@MrEncouragement@ronhenzel Question: is everyone indwelt by the Holy spirit? 1 Corinthians 12:3 says no one can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. Jesus said He loses none that the Father gives Him (John 6:39). Does the Father give everyone to the Son?
@MrEncouragement@ronhenzel Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:9). But no one seeks God (Romans 3:10-12). Jesus said no one can come to Him unless the Father draws them (John 6:44). "No one" is a universal negative proposition- no one has the ability
