Friendliness is relative. That being said, the flavor of being the "little brother" to Europe and the rest of the world, really, has never left. Humility, if it can be found, looks good on everyone. And I will look back to the savor of being historically a very personally involved spiritually devoted people. The Bible teaches such things and, again, where it may be found, it is a credit.
The average American family is WAY better off than the average South African family. See, that is where Elon should be building his companies and spending his money. But he can't. He can't even bring Starlink internet back over there. Because of hatred and fools. And Senator Warren wishes with all her heart to make us like them.

Ponder this: 2 Peter 1:8-9 "For if these things [Faith --> Virtue --> Knowledge --> Self-Control -> Endurance -> Godliness --> Brotherly love --> Love] be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins."
Unless you are into "lose your salvation" - and this clearly states he "forgot", not "lost - this would definitely stand against the absolute you just posted.
If we do not grow, we do not lose - we forget. We become afraid and confused. And the world loses.
I pray for Elon daily. Unlike many other rich men, I believe he understands the relative value of money and does not trust his wealth. Measures his life, time, resources by what they can create that will outlast him. Now to appreciate the invisible world, the one that will never end and embrace the King of Kings and His Kingdom. May the Lord drag him through the door. He is not far away.
@GeoffreyLean I went down to the sea, sea, sea,
How high it now might be, be, be,
And where I went to see, see, see,
It's been that high for centuries.
Stay true to what you know is right. Otherwise you will lose yourself. Public opinion is a tremendous snare to us all.
The wisdom of Solomon: Proverbs 29:25-26
"The fear of man bringeth a snare:
but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.
Many seek the ruler's favour;
but every man's judgment cometh from the LORD."
I cannot imagine what you went through. An act like what was done to you is a crime bringing severe punishment. My comment: How horrific of a crime do you expect Jesus to forgive you for . . . And not divorce (abandon) you? You were not even saved, you had no understanding of that. Not a soul is blaming you.
Whatever we expect Jesus to do for our many crimes against Him AFTER we said "I do" to Him, including adultery . . . That is what He expects of us. The reason is genuine, unfailing love, from us, unto death. If we will not forgive the most severe of crimes against us, the Lord will not forgive us for those same crimes. Read Luke 16 . . . And the first part of chapter 17 to verse 10. The entire narrative - condemnation of the Pharisees, the judgement in hell of the shocked man in hell, pivots on one verse, verse 18. Jesus has forgiven you for ALL your sins, absorbing the wrath of your hell that the rich man endured, one reason He had to suffer so. But . . . Tell the truth.
[and, yes, I would expect the law to provide protection to you and severe retribution to him. Please don't think ill of me - I have never, ever suffered like you have. You are my hero].
If a person does not know God, then they can come to bizarre conclusions like Talarico is. Everyone who can see the Lord knows instantly how wrong that is. This would give you a clue:
Psalms 139:13-14
"For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my motherโs womb.
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well."
Oh, Lord, deliver us from this man.
Pondering the responses. Point made: Americans uniquely hate burning time in transit. There are a few that hate flying for various reasons and for them, this would be a dream come true. On the other hand . . . A mobile office would solve the problem of wasted time, work, eat, sleep . . . You are there.
BTW, one of my dreams is "hive" travel, the "robotaxi" reimagined with less of a defined front and a back . . . With the ability to link up with others, to form "bus chains" to take advantage of the improved aerodynamics and energy use . . . and even dedicated high speed "bus lanes". Boy . . . Combine that with "hyperloops" . . .
The best possible future is one where every being is under the authority of - and loves - Almighty God. The creator. He is the source of abundance and justice and peace. To do so, sin, meaning "every man for himself", little gods, will be subdued, either crushed or redeemed by the sacrifice and spilled blood of Jesus. And the current universe will be rolled up like a scroll, and a new "heavens" (space) and "earth" will be created, which all those that are worthy of resurrection will populate. New hearts, incapable of "sinning", of rebellion, to live and enjoy and create and learn and love . . . Forever. Evil eternal beings will decay forever in the caverns of the lost, every day the mind and body half as alive as the day before, an endless progression, never completed. The wages of "sin" is forever dying. Bottomless pit, fleeing God and each other, forever and ever.
And don't worry, every day will be more exciting for the redeemed than the day before. There are angels that - now - around His throne shout to one another day and night, over and over, "Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!" (Isaiah 6) . . . And they love it, endless joy and energy. We love to do and be what we were created for.
Every time you use a calculator, your brain does a fraction of the work it used to do . . . To do it long hand. When you are using Tesla "Full Self Driving", your brain similarly is engaged a fraction of what it has to be when driving normally. THAT IS KIND OF THE POINT. Free the brain for other tasks. No wonder this research is not making a big splash. No crime has been committed.
Who is messing with anyone who wants to build out the US power grid or add to compute capacity. Itโs our friends, the #Chinese government. Iโm not the only guy at sounding the alarm!
