They are going to continue singling out trans women in public facing roles one by one until we no longer exist. This is not about fairness, it's just bigotry.
This woman has been on the team 3 years with no issues until the media latched onto her as a target.
If you're a private employer and you force employees to work during a state of emergency and they get hurt or killed, you need to be held criminally liable. Criminally liable. Not just a wrongful death lawsuit that insurance pays for. Jail time. Negligent fucking homicide.
Every time I go grocery shopping, without fail, an unmasked person compliments me on my decorated mask, and I never know how to feel.
I wanna believe that I'm normalising masks—like, they too could look this stylish and promote public health!
But they probably won't.
my manager is a nurse and said “well, its a good and bad thing that theyve let it circulate nonstop, we need herd immunity to all the variants”
WHAT?? WHAT DO YOU MEAN??
like actually, genuinely, WHAT are you talking about
My abusive ex used to keep me up until 3 or 4 in the morning on work nights if he felt we hadn't sufficiently resolved whatever "conflict" had come up. He liked to say I was free to go to bed, but if I left the room he'd start wailing. I'm so much better rested since leaving.
Hypermobility is so cool bc your body will literally be trying to hold you together by engaging all muscles at all times & you will be constantly tensing muscles that you didn’t even know existed & then doctors will be like “wow you’re so tense! Do you think it’s anxiety?!” Uh no
This morning one of my doctors did perhaps the single most important thing a doctor can do: he was like, "I went to a training on your condition and they said xyz; how does that square with your experiences?"
The first two physical therapists I saw for my back pain were utterly useless. The one I started seeing 3 months ago said immediately after reading my intake paperwork that she thought I was hypermobile and that my pain was likely caused by weak muscles trying to stabilise joints
This morning one of my doctors told me that practically all of the patients who come to see him with unexplained chronic pain turn out to be hypermobile.
