New Boxing Esq. Pod with Adam Abramowitz @snboxing. We recapped Ring IV and talked about what's possibly next for Benavidez, Haney, Bam & Mason. We also discussed PPV and the top 12 (or fewer) PPV-worthy fights for 2026. Fun conversation.

@TGFGoodFight12@BoxLiveApp@WilliamDettloff Great work @WilliamDettloff - sad to hear that Mark is in a home. He was always low-key but really honest in my interactions with him. Let’s hope his family and his wife can work things out.
@dhammer312@MatthewAguilar5@snboxing@TruSchoolSports Chicago is so underrated and underserved as a fight city. Big Ukrainian and Polish populations that come out as well. Hence Usyk fighting there. Shame the city doesn’t produce a lot of world class fighters. The audience is there.
Damn - great fight to catch live. Glad I decided to go. After the 1st rd, it looked like a one-sided blowout. But give Zayas credit. He came back & shook Boots to his core in the 3rd. Great recovery by Boots to finish strong & get the TKO. But that leaky defense vs. Ortiz . . .
@Chris120778@AccordToBoxing This is hilarious. I wasn’t going to the fight but last minute decided to look at tickets to see if they had decent ones in the lower bowl. I literally grabbed the EXACT seat you displayed. I just looked at Twitter and freaked out for a second - why is he showing my ticket? 😂
This is a well-matched card. Lord knows if the $100M/yr budget is true. But if it’s close to that & they’re only doing 12-16 shows/yr, all the cards should be spectacular. Since the Zuffa is Above The Law Act hasn’t been passed yet, wonder if they are giving Ali Act disclosures.
@pomara_matt@MatthewAguilar5@ChrisAlgieri Are we just counting Americans and does Muay Thai kickboxing count? Saensak Muangsurin went from Muay Thai to winning the WBC Jr. Welterweight title in just his third pro boxing fight. He lost it and won it back then made some solid defenses includ. Monroe Brooks & Saoul Mamby.
@snboxing@RoldBoxing I remember watching it live thinking Lyle was winning and Ali wasn’t doing anything. I was rooting for Lyle. I remember him being upset with the stoppage. He ended up with a broken jaw, so can’t really argue the stoppage too much.
@spsorby Itauma’s at least a year away it seems. He has a late summer fight scheduled and then a US fight supposedly later in the year. Usyk-Itauma, if it ever happens, looks like a 2027 fight.
Now that we’ve seen Dubois stop Big Baby, Hrgovic, AJ & Wardley, how good is Usyk? Two wins over Dubois, Fury & AJ each. His resume is far above the rest of the division. I don’t really want to see a 3rd fight between him & Dubois, Fury or AJ. Itauma’s the only one of interest.
@spsorby All good fights - plus Fury-Joshua in December. But the one Usyk fight I want to see is Itauma. Kabayal deserves a shot - but I’m not that excited about it.
Wardley brave as hell. Hard to believe this is the same Howard Foster, who’s prematurely stopped so many fights, let Wardley fight on. Kudos to Dubois for getting off the deck twice and walking through fire to power through. He’s a truck.
Wardley making the same mistake Hrgovic made. If all you throw is one twos - even Dubois starts picking it up and making you miss. No punch variety. These heavyweights are so basic sometimes.
