‘WHY SHOULD ANY POLITICIAN NEED TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE TO DEFEND HIM?’
Tindig Pilipinas, organizers of the Trillion Peso March, criticized the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC)-led rally in support of Sen. Rodante Marcoleta, saying mass demonstrations should not be used to shield public officials from legal scrutiny.

Philippine Defense Secretary Teodoro on China calling his rhetoric toxic-
'They should look in the mirror.'
SPOT ON!
Because the real toxicity is bullying, piracy, stealing Philippine waters & attacking them
And its coming from China.
Not Philippines. Not Japan. China

China calling itself defender of the UN-centered world order?
Don't make me laugh.
This is how you defend it?
By attacking Philippine ships and shredding to pieces the same UN-centered laws you pretend to uphold?

China's actual Exclusive Economic Zone in South China Sea vs. China's fictitious claims over much of South China Sea through the fake Nine Dash Line Line!
Anything that China claims beyond the areas marked in Red is illegal & can termed wild hallucinations of CCP dictators!
Over the past 5 years, China has launched around 15-20 submarines, incl. 8+ new variants, yet blames Japan for “militarization.”
This growing naval expansion is a clear signal of accelerating regional arms competition & a warning for strategic stability across Asia & beyond.

‘TUMINGIN SILA SA SALAMIN.’
Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. on Wednesday brushed aside repeated criticisms from Chinese officials over his remarks against China’s actions, saying the public can judge for itself who is telling the truth.
“Taumbayan na ang maghuhusga. Wala naman akong sinabi na hindi totoo sa lahat ng sinasabi ko. Hindi ko problema kung walang naniniwala sa kanila. Problema nila iyon,” he said.
“Tumingin sila sa salamin. Hindi naman Chinese ang kalaban natin dito na tao. Communist Party ng China, tsaka gobyerno nila na nang-aagaw ng teritoryo at bumabaliktad ng istorya,” he added.
Teodoro’s remarks came after the Chinese Embassy in Manila again reiterated statements from Chinese government officials criticizing the defense chief over his comments on Beijing’s actions. | via @biancadava
Episode 1 | Scarborough: The Small Shoal at the Center of a Bigger Story | Why does a tiny shoal appear so often in headlines about the West Philippine Sea?
This first episode examines the documented events around Scarborough Shoal through verified footage, official reports, international law, and historical context. It explores why a seemingly small feature has become an important part of a much larger story about maritime rights, information, and regional security.
Understanding the West Philippine Sea begins with understanding the evidence.

Four Chinese vessels once again appeared inside waters that fall within the Philippines’ Exclusive Economic Zone, shadowing a Philippine-United States maritime exercise conducted just 50 nautical miles from Bajo de Masinloc. Among them was a People’s Liberation Army Navy warship accompanied by three China Coast Guard vessels — another clear display of Beijing’s continuing pattern of intimidation and coercive maritime behavior in waters that international law does not recognize as theirs.
The question remains simple: What exactly are Chinese military and coast guard vessels doing operating aggressively inside the Philippine Exclusive Economic Zone?
This is not an isolated incident. For years, China has repeatedly deployed swarming tactics — surrounding Philippine vessels, harassing lawful maritime activities, shadowing allied exercises, and maintaining constant pressure designed to normalize its unauthorized presence in waters far beyond its legitimate maritime entitlements.
But repeated incursions do not create legal rights.
No amount of intimidation, shadowing operations, vessel swarming, or coercive presence can erase a truth already settled under international law. The 2016 Arbitral Award unequivocally declared that China’s so-called Nine-Dash Line has no legal basis. It was declared null and void under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
Yet despite this clear legal ruling, Beijing continues behaving as if unlawful repetition can somehow rewrite established law. It cannot.
Every new act of interference only reinforces what the world already knows: China continues to disregard international law while attempting to impose illegitimate claims through coercion rather than legal legitimacy.
Ten years after the landmark arbitration victory, the ruling still stands. The facts remain unchanged. The law remains unchanged.
The Nine-Dash Line was invalid then. It remains invalid today. No amount of swarming, harassment, or illegal presence inside Philippine waters will change that reality.
Sovereignty cannot be erased by intimidation. International law cannot be overturned by repetition. And unlawful actions at sea will never transform fiction into legitimate rights.
The arbitral ruling stands as a permanent reminder that truth, law, and sovereign rights do not disappear simply because one state refuses to accept them.

So 🇨🇳@globaltimesnews has parachuted in from Beijing with its own direct reply to @jaytaryela's latest post about the 2016 Arbitral Award.
#China's arguments are as bad today as they were 10 years ago, but let's review shall we?
⚖️ "Illegal, null and void." Whatever dude. You've said this countless times, but repetition is not legal analysis. The tribunal confirmed its jurisdiction, considered China's published objections & issued a final, binding award under international law.
You boycotted the case. You lost it anyway...because your position is the legal equivalent of a self-licking ice cream cone.🍦
"UNCLOS doesn't cover sovereignty." Correct. And the 🇵🇭 #Philippines never asked it to. Manila asked the tribunal to rule on maritime entitlements, the status of features & China's so-called "historic rights" under UNCLOS. It did, and said your preposterous dashed-line claim has no legal basis.
Then comes Beijing's favorite contortion: "Settle this bilaterally. Honor the agreements you signed."
Fine. Start with the 2002 Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the #SouthChinaSea. 🇨🇳China signed it with all of #ASEAN. It pledged peaceful resolution of disputes, freedom of navigation & self-restraint — including, in its own words, refraining from inhabiting uninhabited reefs, shoals & other features.
Then China dredged and filled thousands of acres of pristine reef. It seized control of Scarborough Shoal. It created an exclusion zone. It swarmed, water-cannoned & rammed 🇵🇭Philippine vessels in waters where it has no lawful right to impose its will.
Beijing wants the sanctity of agreements ... under its own tortured interpretations ... until it doesn't.
That's the pattern. Beijing invokes its favorite part of the DOC it actually likes to discredit the award, while blatantly violating the rest of the DOC to render its argument laughable. It papers over bad arguments with worse ones. And it demands bilateral talks bound by rules it systematically breaks.
"But the situation has only worsened since 2016." 😲Golly, why do you suppose that is? Could it be because China answered the Philippines' legal victory with accelerated aggression?
Sorry, but that's not a flaw in the award. That's a confession.
If China defies a binding ruling under UNCLOS and abrogates the pledges it made to all of ASEAN under the DOC, why should Manila trust it alone, one-on-one, bound by no rule Beijing is willing to accept above its own coercive will?
The award didn't create this dispute. China's behavior did.

Mr. Guo Wei accuses me of inventing a position China never took—that Beijing ties its aid to our sovereignty. Then he contradicts himself!
At the beginning of his post: China has “never attached political conditions to its aid.” In the latter part: if Filipino officials keep defending our waters, “the fundamental interests of the Philippines and the Filipino people will ultimately suffer.”
That is the condition, stated plainly.
Because of his inconsistencies and China’s own lies, he is now getting confused with their own script—one approved at the level of his Ambassador, who hides behind a nice-guy pretense while engaging different people in our country.
The Chinese government must remember that aid and sovereignty are separate matters. Genuine help is welcome, but it will never be currency for our rights. Sanction whom you wish—but as Secretary Gibo said, “Hindi kami pasisiil!”
