The Guardian: “Net migration down by three-quarters, the biggest fall in NHS waiting lists for 17 years, knife crime cut by 10%, the economy growing the fastest in the G7, rising wages, energy bills and petrol prices held down, the biggest sustained rise in defence spending since the cold war, a massive expansion of free childcare …
If Keir Starmer did tub-thumping lists of Labour’s achievements in the style of Gordon Brown, he would not actually have a shortage of things to talk about.”
During the two years of Labour government, following fourteen years of Tory mismanagement, there have actually been significant improvements in Britain. Why does the Tory media not report them?
Is Starmer amazing? No.
Is he a decent bloke? Yes.
Every leader makes mistakes. Thatcher, Churchill, Blair. Now tiny issues are magnified into full blown crisis.
Perspective needed.
Line must be drawn or we end up with instability ad infinitum with PMs going every other year.
This isn’t even debatable. Sadly the main reason people hate Starmer is because they’ve been told to.
He hasn’t been perfect but he hasn’t killed thousands of people, or taken us into an illegal war, or wiped billions off our economy etc etc etc
A technical point, but one of substance. That match wasn’t finished. It was abandoned due to the vile club’s fans invading pitch & attacking Hearts players.
Naturally, the SFA will just gloss over that on behalf of their club, but if rules were properly applied, there would be consequences.
Pitch invasions should mean an automatic loss to the invading team. That'll stop them. It's outright dangerous, looking at the Celtic fans running at the Hearts player. Same happened with us in the playoffs against Forrest.
Rayner has been cleared, but the media ran 30 front pages in total, averaging 4 front pages a day during the peak of the story.
Farage's £5 million gift has had two front page stories.
Why would there be such a difference in reporting standards for the two?
If these growing financial scandals involving Farage do not become resignation issues then this country is completely throwing in the towel on standards in public life.
Good news Reformers…the security threat must have gone away. The £5m is no longer for that.
It’s now a gift for campaigning for something that made him richer and you poorer. Glad that’s cleared up.
Keir Starmer is the first British PM in years that isn't destroying the UK.
Aligning with Europe, making the economy more competitive again, reducing red tape, lowering migration, nuclear & renewable energy investments, putting a halt to Americanisation and delivering growth!
