This disorder sucks. Today is a very tough day. Psychiatry is a joke. A pseudo-science. I'm far worse after 7 years of treatment plus all the side effects. I'm now an obese mess with swollen hands after exertion and no libido. Fuck them. #BPD #bipolar #psychiatrysucks

@dowe_barbara Thank you. I'm taking it one day at a time. Sleep is just one aspect. Lithium actually helps.

@raxonator Why can't we stop ourselves? I try, but then, all of a sudden, all hell breaks loose! And I'm on 900mg lithium which is supposed to calm me down. 😔

@MentalStigmas It's been happening for years and stress is definitely as big factor. I just wish I could stop it...

@DrChloeBeale @rcpsych Psychiatry needs an overhaul. A cleansing of sorts. The paradigm needs to change as most of it is not science. It'll only happen when big pharma stops controlling everything & vile antipsychotics and SSRI's are prescribed as candy. They're mostly harmful.

I'm not sure what the NHS is on about with the new "Psychological wellbeing practitioner" programme. Shouldn't they recruit only properly qualified people for it? I had enough of glorified HCA's doing the job of psychologists. It's not like that in other countries. #PWP

It's not easy to find a good job at 43 even with some good qualifications and experience. Brexit and Covid-19 don't help.

Who is always that happy and upbeat when struggling with depression? I'm not surprised it all ended the way it did.

I just heard about the #aidenhatfield situation & I'm not surprise. I never liked the bloke. He was also always too happy for a depressed person!
I remember being so bad I could hardly get out of bed & he kept selling his t-shirts, talking shit & posting rubbish music. 🖕🏼

@MyMyMiseryChick I can fully relate. It's been happening to me. Even if you want the job and can easily do it, you're deemed overqualified and some NVQ3 person with 2 GCSE's gets it. It's absolute madness!
