Calling Forensic OT’s B6 & above with 2+ years’ experience to participate in my research project for MSc advanced OT.
In the absence of current guidance, I'm interested in your perceptions of your role in community integration. Do ask any questions &/or retweet #ForensicOT
@MarcusD88167580 Roughly every 6-8 weeks depending on how quick your clinical processes are I would say, so our avg length of stay for service users was 12-24 months (depending on need) - means we had plenty to discuss in between treatment plans. But for higher acuity areas maybe every 4 weeks?
@MarcusD88167580 As well as make some time for celebrating positive practice by our departments, and looking to organise / share training resources across the areas
@MarcusD88167580 Hi Marcus! We found reflective practice really beneficial as a means of understanding themes of challenge within different areas of the same sector (forensic mental health). We’d have an agenda with the things noticed over the last ~8 weeks, and discuss solutions / frustrations
@jessemilylouise @HulseJan Hi Jess! I’d suspect you should hit the top of your band, but in my experience the increased increment only reflects in your pay the month after, so for the 9th May, June’s payment! Hopefully this is resolved for you and congratulations on 5 years 🥳
@OTLiverpool@LivUni Congratulations to all of the new OTs on their hard work and efforts over the last 3 years! A well deserved celebration I am sure, enjoy 🎉🥳
I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Mental Health Practitioner at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust !
Thanks to all of my colleagues from Mersey Care for the last four years, I have loved it. Wishing you every success in all future endeavours.
Whilst this is big change clinically for me, I see this as a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow as a person and as a professional.
What I will learn will be crucial to plans for future development and will hopefully benefit my wider practice in immeasurable ways!
