@NNNIncome Own a sign company. Done plenty of multi-tenant pylons. Cost to replace this would be ~$250k. Originally thought the sign came with the grocer and two fast food parcels. Guess not…wild! If this works going to start building and renting pylons to CRE investors. LOL.
💡Thought of the day:
“A slow and painful death is the worst kind of death. And what could possibly be slower and more painful than toiling away in a cubicle for 8+ hours per day, 40+ hours per week, 45-50 weeks out of the year, for 40+ years of your life?”

@hq_storage You are correct - most sign shops are too small to hire an ops manager - we brought one in 3 years ago and it’s led to us doubling top line since then - freed me up to do what I’m best it which is biz development and less day to day fire fighting.
1/ There seems to be a big uptick in tweet activity lately about how easy/great it is to use an SBA loan to acquire a SMB and just start living on easy street. I've acquired many SMB's, and just recently (Jan.) did an acquisition with an SBA 7A loan....
The Duopoly I would shut down in a nanosecond ? The Democratic and Republican Parties. Together they are the definition of anti-competitive collusion that has been successful shutting out competition in a manner that is detrimental to the American People every minute of every day
There is a level of irrationality to being a 75-80 year-old rich man and running for president.
You have 8-12 highly functional years left to live, all the money you ever need — and you decide to put yourself through all this?
Gotta have a screw or two loose, for sure.
The truth is, we do not have the will as a country to make the relatively tiny sacrifices (masks, no huge gatherings) to make this pandemic go away. That is why we just passed 5 million cases. That is why we can't resume normal lives.
Ask yourself: Why own a small business?
If you get excited about:
- Capital allocation
- Strategic creativity
- Systems innovation
Sorry, that's 20% (or less) of the job.
The 80%:
- Putting out fires
- Making calls you dread
- Navigating tricky relationships
Think it over.
TO THE EXTENT WE HAVE AGE MINIMUMS THAT ARE NOT BASED IN SCIENCE BUT SIMPLY IGNORANCE AND FEAR, HOW THE HELL DO WE NOT HAVE A SCIENCE BASED AGE MAXIMUM IN POLITICS. WHAT ARE YOU, ANTI-SCIENCE? A SCIENCE DENYING ZEALOT? REWARDING CAREER POLITICIANS WHO CANT PROCESS THOUGHTS?
Our presidential candidates are 74 and 77. Our Senate Majority Leader is 78. Our House Speaker is 80. The average age of our Senate is 62. The average age of our House is 57.
...And the average age of every living American is 37.
We can’t pretend this isn’t part of the problem.
