Future doctors of J&K are being forced to survive on outdated stipends while workloads keep increasing every year. Enough of the neglect, enough of the false promises. We work in hospitals day and night, yet our basic rights are ignored. @OmarAbdullah@sakinaitoo@OfficeOfLGJandK
MBBS interns in Jammu & Kashmir are being paid just ₹12,300/month. That’s nearly ₹400 a day for handling emergencies, ICU duties, labour rooms, wards, night shifts, and brutal 24–36 hour duties.
One of the LOWEST intern stipends in India.
Meanwhile, states like Assam & West Bengal are paying ₹30,000+.
For 3 YEARS, promises of stipend hikes have been made. For 3 YEARS, nothing has changed.
The system wants young doctors to work like machines, survive on peanuts, and stay silent.
Cheap labour in the name of “training” is exploitation.
Pay MBBS interns what they deserve.

24-hour duty for nursing students in Kashmir: “part of learning.”
Doing ward work without salary or honorarium: “experience.”
Skipping sleep and meals: “adjustment.”
They study for years, sacrifice their youth, survive sleepless nights, handle emergencies, stand in OTs for hours and carry the burden of human lives on their shoulders, yet in Jammu & Kashmir, medical interns are still being paid just 12,300 per month. That's 410 rupees per day.
At a time when many other states pay their interns almost 2–3 times more, our young doctors are expected to work endlessly with little dignity and almost no financial support.
I have raised this issue multiple times before the authorities, but unfortunately, nothing changes except hollow assurances. A healthcare system cannot become strong by exploiting the very people holding it together.
Respect doctors. Respect interns. Raise the stipend.
Enough is enough. #JKMedicalInterns #RaiseInternStipend #HealthcareCrisis #JusticeForInterns
Most of you will stop eating junk food or other packed food if you actually start reading the label for once and do your own research on the ingredients! Crazy... What they are feeding us!
Isn’t it heartbreaking that they don’t even have anything to eat for Iftar? 😭💔
Please help them… may Allah reward you for it.

In the 1800s, doctors had no stethoscopes. They'd press their ears against a woman's chest, even touch her breasts just to hear her heartbeat.
But one man... didn't.
When a woman came to him, he rolled up a sheet of paper into a tube and listened to her heartbeat without touching. That small act of respect changed medical history because empathy created invention.
That man was Dr René Laënnec, the inventor of the stethoscope
This story is proof that sometimes, The most revolutionary thing a man can do... is respect a woman's comfort.
Dr. Mariano Barbacid and his team developed a cure for pancreatic cancer in mice without side effects.
Dr. Barbacid is now asking for financial support in order to continue his research for a cure suitable for humans.
