Interesting study showing evidence of widespread abnormalities in WM diffusion metrics in patients with TLE-HS compared to FCD in the temporal or frontal lobe! It adds to our understanding of why cognitive and psychiatric dysfunction are seen so frequently in TLE-HS.

3/ In 2022, inclusion of first-seizure and newly diagnosed drug-naïve epilepsy patients aged 16-55 began. We will longitudinally collect a variety of biomarkers and potential risk/protective factors. Major outcome measures: QoL, seizure burden, psychiatric and cognitive function
