@MartinBJensen Mechanistic interpretability (in the setting of geroprotection trials) for fluid biomarkers will be challenging imo.
Biomarkers based on medical imaging allows for straightforward interpretation and are generally closer to FDA relevant outcomes. See:

“Pharmacokinetic analysis of intermittent rapamycin administration in early-stage Alzheimer’s Disease” by Helen Annervik Wallgren & Jonas E. Svensson (@jaralaus) et al.
This open-label pilot study explored weekly oral doses of Rapamycin (7 mg or less) over 26 weeks in patients with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease.

Zelensky pushes back on Trump with facts, not rhetoric.
Zelensky: The U.S. has provided Ukraine with $67 billion in military aid and $31 billion in budget support.
Trump’s $500 billion fossil fuel claim isn’t a serious conversation. 1/
🧵 NEW PAPER: A framework for using medical imaging to evaluate geroprotective interventions in humans. We outline how this could provide mechanistically interpretable outcomes in early phase clinical trials.

9/ We are piloting a version of the imaging battery suggested above in our clinical trial of rapamycin in early-stage Alzheimer’s disease patients (also our submission to the XPRIZE Healthspan competition). https://t.co/krEahQWjNe

@marton_mes@NornGroup Yes, take one step back from the endpoints you ar proposing in your piece and ask what age related pathological process(es) preceeds this condition? Is the condition unlikely in absence of the process? Is the process happening in most elderly ppl and quantifiable using imaging?
