Original documents confirm All American Massacre was planned as a pitch for Texas Chainsaw Massacre 5. Context & other never before seen details below: https://t.co/hO4I842iyK
@TheChewDefense@ObnoxandAnony The music performances are how they chose to split up episodes. Without them it would flow in one go like the screenplay.
@DayOfTheSlasher They insist it’s because Raimi wouldn’t stoop so low and yet he has a CGI boar with digital snot in Send Help. Unfortunately cheap CGI has replaced cheap puppetry and stop-motion.
@seth_gunther@28alexslater In the series Cheryl remanifests merely by the photo in her bedroom. I don’t think there needs to be any actual ashes in the urn as long as the *idea* is there. The girl summoned her by saying her name and shaking the urn. The idea was enough.
@wompstompfilms It’s definitely exciting to have new Friday the 13th conversations like this and if nothing else I’m glad the show is getting people to talk again.
@DanielHood4 I’m still not the biggest fan of it but the 4K release was so beautiful that I’m honestly happy just putting it on and turning my brain off. Gorgeous looking movie.
@F13thFranchise Thousands of people have now seen your AI altered image that created false details and possibly harmed the show’s reputation before it even aired. Try protecting the brand if you’re going to represent it.
@Foywonder I’d like to see a stand-alone sequel to Freddy vs Jason that recasts another actor to play the original Freddy Krueger in a new story that can include Nancy as a positive dream guardian in place of Freddy’s mother who Freddy finally break frees from.
@horrornova Backrooms is an established “IP” and Hollywood also greenlit a dozen similar creepypasta projects that haven’t yet been adapted. There is room for all of the above.
@wompstompfilms Yeah I’m fine with that idea. I mostly just want stand-alone sequels to Freddy vs Jason for both Friday and Elm Street. Partly why the Freddy news doesn’t have me as hyped, the OG Freddy is still out there. At least OG Jason dies(?) in Jason X.
@wompstompfilms He didn’t go back in time after Jason X and impregnate his mom with his own clone-son, did he? Creating the alternate Jason Universe timeline? Darn, spoiled it for everyone.
But yeah I’m generally open for whatever. It’s not like they’re ever going to organically follow the OGs.
@Deep_Cut_Films@CurlyMcNulty A 1600s or 1700s setting dealing with the witch trials era and maybe a follower of the Necronomicon or a Dark One like Ruby would be a great take too. Maybe a woman similar to Pumpkinhead’s Haggis or 2’s Ms. Ossie (who has an ED2 Necronomicon) living in the woods.
@the_snickman@shin_kale_rider How defined are the characters in the remake outside of Mia and maybe David? I think keeping some similarities is fine, some fans already feel like it’s too different to compare to anything else. It’s always a hard line to walk between being too similar and too different.
@the_snickman@shin_kale_rider It represents the family’s deterioration. It was once their vacation home and now Joseph has let it rot as his upset father points out. It also has the Professor’s findings in the attic whereas Knowby’s findings were in the basement of the cabin.
@ERCboxoffice It’s why Rise was originally going to be a HBO Max release and why they thought the TV series prior was the right strategy going forward for the franchise.
@ERCboxoffice Evil Dead is a property that’s at its best via word-of-mouth and on home video. It was always a cult classic brand instead of a heavy-hitter series like Friday the 13th. 2013 & Rise hit during droughts but Burn will find most of its success on home video & streaming.
