@wompstompfilms Yeah I’m fine with that idea. I mostly just want stand-alone sequels to Freddy vs Jason for both Friday and Elm Street. Partly why the Freddy news doesn’t have me as hyped, the OG Freddy is still out there. At least OG Jason dies(?) in Jason X.

@Deep_Cut_Films @CurlyMcNulty A 1600s or 1700s setting dealing with the witch trials era and maybe a follower of the Necronomicon or a Dark One like Ruby would be a great take too. Maybe a woman similar to Pumpkinhead’s Haggis or 2’s Ms. Ossie (who has an ED2 Necronomicon) living in the woods.

@the_snickman @shin_kale_rider How defined are the characters in the remake outside of Mia and maybe David? I think keeping some similarities is fine, some fans already feel like it’s too different to compare to anything else. It’s always a hard line to walk between being too similar and too different.

@ERCboxoffice Evil Dead is a property that’s at its best via word-of-mouth and on home video. It was always a cult classic brand instead of a heavy-hitter series like Friday the 13th. 2013 & Rise hit during droughts but Burn will find most of its success on home video & streaming.
