Don Mancini has been very vocal about working on a new CHUCKY movie. This doesn't really line up with a non-license renewal as those are two completely different forms of media which means two completely different streams of income that could assist each other

That being said, during promotion for Halloween, Illfonic mentioned 'their next game' and hinted its already in the works... Could it be a Chucky game? This is the only public lead as there hasn't been any licensing movement for the property.

We've seen Evil Dead, TCM, Halloween, Hellraiser, and SAW get their own games since the success of F13 and DBD and with it becoming easier/more accessible to make video games, obviously that means more opportunity.

Chucky licensed into DBD in 2023, Call of Duty recently, Fortnite rumors for this year's Fortnitemares which haven't been confirmed yet. Could Mancini just want Chucky to be more exclusive going into this new movie?

If we can find something out we'll make a new video on it, but for right now it just seems like either the IP holders didn't want to renew with #DeadbyDaylight for whatever reason they have (exclusivity would be my guess) or maybe there is something new in the works. Only time will tell 🤷‍♂️

Brother... You CLEARLLLLLLLY did not play DBD on it's release 😂😂😂 It was a MESS!

And this isn't a knock on DBD at all. It was a new game with limited resources. That's probably my biggest problem with people pointing out bugs in Halloween or whatever new game CLEARLY didn't play DBD early on. It was very, VERY buggy. The long-time devs of the game talk about it pretty often, including in our interviews with them.

Of course. I've called out people for bullshit before, but simple research and just knowing how the industry actually works proves what Wes is talking about. He brought up actual events and things you can lookup yourself.

You don't know how the gaming industry works by playing video games.

I really think you should listen to that interview when you get the chance. and this isn't a OMG VIEWS thing, it's moreso so you can learn what goes on in a dev studio. It's much more than the blanket 90%+ of gamers throw over everything

The game had problems, no doubt. But I can find you A TON of people who still play it and want it back
