You can read all the books. Watch all the documentaries. Listen to all the stories. But nothing, and I mean nothing, will prepare you for certain moments in life until you're standing in them yourself. Marriage. Divorce. Childbirth. Losing someone you love. Parenting. They all look so different when it's your heart on the line. Your choices. Your pain. Your mess. Your miracle.
It's easy to sit on the outside with theories, opinions, and assumptions. It's easy to think you'd handle it better. Until life turns to you and says, "Your turn." And suddenly, you understand. You understand the tears. The silence. The fight to keep going. The strength it takes to show up when everything feels heavy. The courage it takes to start over.
Life has a way of humbling us all. So be slow to judge, quick to offer grace, and always remember, what you don't understand today, you just might face tomorrow. We're all just figuring it out as we go. And that's more than okay.
Women please listen to me, I worked in O&G for 3years + and it's almost 2years working in pediatrics, and I say it with so much confidence that an educated and financially stable woman is an empowered woman.
I've seen it too many times how those that are uneducated and solely dependant on their husband are being treated, trust me, it is not good at all.

Selah.
Slept 10 hours? Exhausted.
Slept 9? Drained.
Even a solid 8? Still wiped out.
Is anyone else stuck in this weird cycle of constant fatigue, no matter how much sleep you get?
Very strange….
As you settle home this evening from a hard day's work, please take time to check on your kids before they sleep.
If you haven't watched the new podcast by former NTV anchor Gladys Gachanja, kindly find time and do so.

If you're attending #RejectFinanceBill2024 on Thursday, keep these in mind:
1. Police are likely to be pissed. One of them lost his limbs (not your fault) . Safe to assume some cops will be wanting to make someone pay.
2. Expect to be provoked to violence. Tuesday's events were peaceful. That's annoying to some quarters. There needs to be a legal basis to disrupt the protests. DO NOT give them a reason. Stay peaceful and unarmed, finya wao na message!
3. Plan ahead. Let your friends or co-ordinating team know where you will be. Agree on a check-in system, so that should something happen or you get arrested, peeps can start accounting for your absence. Be your brother's/sister's keeper.
4. Dress appropriately. For athletics. And have fun (you can track your steps with your smartwatch). Carry some water, a heavy handkerchief, handtowel or mask. You will need it.
5. RECORD EVERYTHING. Go live where possible. That's how to keep the thugs, uniformed or otherwise, hesitant.
6. Comms: Charge your phone tonight. Carry a powerbank. Download VPN. Buy airtime and bundles. You will need them.
7. Safety in numbers. Please don't be alone. That's how you get bushwhacked and no one can give evidence.
8. Stay calm and avoid direct confrontation. Even when arrested. Remember the baddies who were singing in the cells? Heroes, those ones.
9. Legal aid: Loyas are out here offering free representation. Know at least one of them. If in doubt, tag LSK.
10. Know when to retreat. Kikiumana, it is better to live to fight another day.
Good luck, and may your voices rumble from Sydney to Alaska.
