"one of the main characters has autism spectrum disorder. Representation is important for kids to get a sense of belonging in the world, and so it's great that we can see another character with autism on the small screen." https://t.co/hG5vozdaig
At the Memphis airport watching the news about troops being deployed to the Middle East. I turned to see 6 people in army fatigues watching behind me. They must be 19-20 and I assume they are heading to the ME. Hits differently when you look in their faces. #GodBlessOurTroops
@mrronclark_ on this day, as an NC Teaching Fellow 11 years ago, I met you. You encouraged my classmates and I to Dream Big and to go forth and change the world. The words in the book have such a deeper meaning for me now as a veteran teacher. Thanks for being amazing!
This school for autistic kids looks so thoughtfully designed. In the old days we didn't understand their tactile, auditory, visual, olfactory, motor, social, and learning needs, so school may have been toxic for them. We need to evaluate what works best https://t.co/aTR4btZCCa
