I'm sad that the family will have to go through another prolonged trial.
HOWEVER
There is no way the state will be able to prove LC did it. The evidence is not there. The outcome of this trial proves it.
HOWEVER
There is an abundance of evidence that Patrick Clancy lied, had motive to kill his family and used technology to try to make it appear as if Lindsay was responsible.
Anyone paying attention to this case, the failures of the police and investigation can see this clearly.
Now the defense can build a case around that.
IMO the reason they didn't do it in the first place was to save the family from further trauma.

To be clear, the children are the victims here.

Patrick Clancy had a legal and moral duty as their father to protect his children from a mother who was clearly unstable and on multiple psychiatric medications, and who had (most damning) explicitly stated she had thoughts of harming her children.

She should have never been left alone to kill, in Patrick's own words to the 911 operator, the "fucking" kids.

But fortunately he had an "amazing" hike only 20 days after his children's funeral on his trip to Costa Rica, as detailed in the review he took the time to leave. 🫠

He is not a victim here. He meets all three legal threshholds for crimimal negligence and should be in that courtroom right next to his ex-wife.
