My bet was on students who weren’t the “usual suspects”—students without finance degrees, without connections, and without polished résumés, but with grit, curiosity, and potential. My bet has paid off exponentially!
This disparity is even more pronounced when looking at total wealth distribution: White households held 84.2% of all U.S. wealth while making up only 66% of households. Black families accounted for 11.4% of households but owned just 3.4% of total family wealth.
