@tooprogaming@RELEVANTpodcast@JonHaidt I have heard him on Michael Shermer’s podcast. Very interesting. Belonging to a tribe seems to be a huge motivation to believe whatever the tribe wants you to believe.
Listening to people who believe in talking donkey & zombies talk about how ridiculous it is to believe the earth is flat. 😂
Using faith, is there anything you WON’T believe?
@RELEVANTpodcast
@itschrisurol That's a pretty big claim "Everyone of them in their last moment said a prayer or wished they know to say one". If you heard stories of people almost dying, not saying a prayer, and living....would that change your mind?
@ourlifeaftergod @mikemchargue Wow. I just listened to this episode and I am amazed there are people in the world that think honestly like mike does! It gives me hope.
1/ Why do we keep getting our knickers in a twist and our logic in a knot over the nature of language? We do we want to control it so badly, and why will that never work? In fact, what do we really talk about when we talk about language? And why did even Orwell get it wrong?
And it's available in audio, for those inclined, narrated by me (in the US). Audio coming to the UK soon, where I narrate it in a terrible British accent. https://t.co/foQMtMCY7G
