Revenge keeps a ledger. It tallies every wrong and waits for the chance to collect. Reconciliation tears the ledger up — the harder, braver move, and the only one that actually sets you free. "If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all" (Romans 12:18). Striking back can feel like strength, but mending what's broken takes far more of it. The stronger person isn't the one who gets even; it's the one who lets go.
The potential for a rare and notable snow event continues for this weekend with increasing confidence in accumulation. Much of the area can expect to see some snow, but confidence remains highest along the SC-NC border.
RARE EVENT: The "Carolina Powder" Scenario this weekend.
Usually, when we talk about snow and let's say 0.10" of liquid in the Carolinas, we’re bracing for a slushy inch of concrete or ice. Not this time. With this cold air in place, we are looking at ratios closer to 15:1. That changes the game completely.
❄️ The Breakdown: 💧 0.10" Liquid (Standard Wet Snow) = ~0.8" accumulation. 🌨️ 0.10" Liquid (Carolina Powder) = 1.5" of fluff!
Same amount of moisture, nearly double the snow pile. So, depending on how much moisture we get, it could increase totals. This is the kind of snow you can actually clear with a leaf blower. This same setup could mean that dry, cold air "eats" some of the initial moisture through evaporation or, in this case, sublimation. Enjoy the fluff while it lasts!

This is the criteria for the National Weather Service to issue a winter storm warning for snow across the Southeast.
There will likely be some winter storm watches for snow later tonight and early Thursday morning.
This storm is not over yet! Travel is difficult in spots due to the freezing rain that has already fallen. With temperatures below freezing across our forecast area, we remain concerned about additional freezing rain especially across the Northern Midlands (areas in red). (1/2)
A few weeks back we baptized a 92 year-old man and a 91 year-old woman.
This afternoon I’m officiating their wedding, as they no longer want to cohabitate.
It’s never too late to repent and find the good life in Jesus.
There’s something so powerful about simply not giving up. If you keep going, keep praying, keep believing, keep hoping and keep trusting in Jesus you’ll come to a place where you realize something’s different. You’re no longer “going through” because you’ve had your breakthrough. You’re not even sure when or how it happened —but you just know in the very narrow of your bones, you’re free. You’re in a new place. That person, thing, position or place no longer has a hold on you. The stronghold’s been broken, the cloud has lifted and you can see again. You can dream again. You’re living and dreaming again. All that to say— Your God will be faithful to you. Don’t quit.
18z Hurricane models for future #Imelda
Looks to still be a huge spread in timing & location. One of the runs follows the global models & never makes a landfall, the other 3 do. Timing is Monday into Tuesday. All 4 reach hurricane strength. This will be my last post of the night. I’ll have my video up shortly.
1 Peter 2:24 - "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed." https://t.co/taTaTEUodt
Spoiler alert! Your life doesn't remain the same. It flows through distinct seasons. Most of us were never taught this or prepared for the changes that inevitably come. We might not enjoy each season as much as others, but God has lovingly designed good in every one, if we will notice it and embrace it.
