@RevivedThoughts@Mad_Pieman Note that your claim here is not a scriptural claim. No place that makes the case that we need a divine sacrifice, rather that a man died.
@RevivedThoughts@billswerski1985 Long as you are interacting with unitarians, here’s what a unitarian scholar says about “the word became flesh”.

Ya, it's a classic "not a cult because we have the numbers" thing:
Trinitarian: "JWs shun people who aren't Unitarian! How can they? Total cult!"
Also Trinitarian: "OMG, you're a Unitarian. Sorry, you're kicked out of our church and we'll no longer associated with you. You might as well be in a cult!"
I think the below is my favourite Unitarian vs. Trinitarian debate so far. The reason is that later in the debate there was rapid iteration to drill down into disagreements without an iciness or rhetorical shows that prevent frank discussion.
It seems they were able to do this because @WillBarlow85 and Sam Nesan have a good personal relationship. They seem to be able to see each other's perspectives and why those might make sense, while simultaneously disagreeing.
There weren't attempts to score cheap rhetorical points, just drilling down until one hits explanatory bedrock.
I think this would be *even more enlightening* with extended, more casual discussions exploring the plethora of texts which bear on this issue between two people who know their stuff and respect/like each other, as here.
"And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man." (Luke 2:52, King James Version)
versus
"And Jesus in his human nature increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with one third or two thirds of God, and man." (Luke 2:52, New Trinitarian Version)
How Platonism & Neo-Platonism Shaped the Development of the Trinity https://t.co/Ggyi4fxAW9 The development of the Trinity was deeply impacted by Plato and Plotinus.
Would it be asking too much for you to provide at least one verse from the Bible that states that a follower of Jesus' teachings (aka "a Christian") is obligated to believe in the doctrine of the Trinity?
Are you going to be in London on July 29? I will be debating Dr. Sijuwade on "Conciliar Trinitarianism" (a.k.a. "Monarchical Trinitarianism"). Scan the code for your free ticket.

@BibleFeedOnline@KameronMazurek@OneGodPodcast@KeganChandler That's pretty accurate. They're just trying to do too much in the book. BTW my new engages with The Incarnate Christ and His Critics on John 17:1-3 and with Bowman's argument from the Bible to the Trinity. https://t.co/vuDgzLpfXM
