WATCH: Outgoing Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) secretary general David Kabanda has revealed that he informed PLU Chairperson Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba of his intention to resign from the position before making the decision public. Speaking in an interview at the weekend, Kabanda claimed some individuals wanted to use the office for personal financial gain and viewed him as an obstacle. Gen Muhoozi has since appointed Fadil Twalla as the new PLU secretary general, noting in a post on X that Kabanda remains a member of the pressure group's Central Committee.

Prof, To renounce your Rwandan Citizenship, you must submit a formal written application to the Director General of Immigration and Emigration of Rwanda, which requires cabinet approval. The process concludes with the issuance of a certificate of renunciation and the publication of your details in the gazette. Mr Muganga did not follow any of the above processes. What he did was like marrying someone’s daughter before your lawyer without visiting the parents. Those who can reach out to him, inform him that the process he followed of going to URSB to renounce his Rwandan citizenship was fraudulent.
