Per Jake Fischer (Bleacher Report livestream from Las Vegas), Jonathan Kuminga is looking for more than $25M per year:
"I do believe that Kuminga is looking for something more than that $25 million ballpark that he landed last year from Golden State. Quite frankly, I find it difficult to imagine he's going to find that number on this marketplace."
On the Lakers' offer:
"They have made offers to Jonathan Kuminga repeatedly. Last I heard, two years, $20 million was what the Lakers were hoping for."

Brian Windhorst reveals why the Celtics traded Jaylen Brown instead of paying him $70,000,000 a year.
“The Celtics believed they were headed for a problem with Jaylen Brown one way or another.”
“Jaylen had three years left on his contract with no player option.”
“That meant he had very little leverage.”
“After the season he had, they expected him to ask for a max extension.”
“That would’ve paid around $70 million a year.”
“The Celtics didn’t feel they had to give him an extension.”
“Their numbers said they didn’t view him as a $57 million player, let alone a $70 million player later in his career.”
“They knew he was going to be upset.”
“So it became a question of whether he’d be mad over a failed Giannis trade or over being denied an extension.”
“I think they decided to trade him before they got into that situation.”
Nothing garners more pride and feelings of accomplishment than whipping out one’s credit card to bypass the entire fucking point of the game.
Useless dumb fucks over at EA can’t even get the generic PR response right
The CFB 27 dynasty deep dive blog is 16,469 words. That is 32 pages single spaced. Not once was anything mentioned about adding microtransactions or removing coach progression XP.
Here's what they did say though:
"...the mindset that has driven this mode since day one: 'Satisfy the Core Community' because 'This is THEIR Game.'
That belief is not just something we say. It shows up in the way this team debates details, responds to feedback, studies how Dynasty is played, and keeps pushing to make the experience deeper, more authentic, and more rewarding over time. It shows up in the headline features, the smaller quality-of-life improvements, and the countless decisions that players may not always see individually, but will feel across the course of a Dynasty."
Just something to keep in mind for future releases. #cfbplaydontpay
“Just don’t buy the micro transactions”
“It’s in an offline mode, who cares”
These people are missing the entire crux of the reason that this is a problem. These billion dollar corporations will do anything, steep to any low, to squeeze every last dollar out of its own player base
Creators like @bordeauxyoutube and @NotTheExpertYT are essentially putting their careers on the line to say “enough is enough”. They both have my respect forever
Nothing will change unless we, as fans, declare in one voice that this is unacceptable

Official statement from EA Sports on the microtransactions they’ve added to NCAA 27: “The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking different abilities.” #CFBPlayDontPay
The entire slogan for CFB27 is Do it for U, yet they took out free mechanisms to actually do that and put them behind a paywall. The most easily avoidable PR nightmare ever
The nail in the coffin. @MikeStrawMedia writes that the suits at EA (not the devs) believe this will eventually blow over.
They think they can brute force consumers into accepting a new norm. Time to prove them wrong. I'll never buy another EA title again. #CFBplaydontpay
If I wasn’t clear enough yesterday, I will never work with @EASPORTSCollege again if they don’t reverse these decisions.
EA’s playbook will be to wait out the backlash. That’s why this conversation can’t stop. And trust me… we’re not the only ones who feel this way. #CFBPlayDontPay
Sports games are to be enjoyed by all ages, and I remember being in college and barely being able to afford one game, let alone unexpected paywalls in an offline mode.
When gaming communities speak up, devs listen. #CFBPlayDontPay
